maenad nuri Calixti I feel out of place discussing alcohol, given my limited experience with it. sweatdrop My apartment is full of alcohol, but we almost never drink it. I picked up a six pack of my favorite (Mikes Hard Limeade, don't judge!) and I haven't had any of it in a week. Most of the usage of alcohol is ritual for me. I'm just...not a big drinker. Didn't especially care about it before I could legally drink, and it was never this big taboo growing up. Now? Sure it can be nice to have a drink at the end of a long week or to go out Saturday night and have a few drinks with some friends, but the six-pack of Smirnoff Ice I bought several weeks ago only has one missing, and when I go out, I never have more than one or two drinks.
And I'm not judging. When my parents and I went out for my 21st, my dad ordered Mike's Hard Lemonade for me, and it was pretty tasty. razz

I'm actually much the same way -- I never drank before college, as there was never alcohol in the house, nor a taboo really against it (my mother may be a Southern Baptist, but her aversion was more of not liking the taste. She has fallen in love with Bahama Mama's now).
Hence why when I drink, it's usually ritual. Or an event, which might as well be ritual use.
