I barely got my doctor to prescribe Strattera, and that was pretty much only because I said flat out that I don't like stimulants, and that Concerta was not going to work for me.

He saw me for all of 15 minutes. Who is going to know more about how medication effects me, him or me? Particularly when it's one I responded to well before.

He's letting me try it for a month. It can take 8 weeks for it to work right.

Strange, I was on Concerta for a while. I stopped taking it when I got an increase in my dosage, and then lost desire to eat. I was sitting in my dorm room at 11:30 at night (having not eaten since probably 10 or so in the morning), and just had no desire to get up and get food.

Afterwords, the doctor decided that Strattera might be more up my alley. I ended up not taking that, because my mom didnt like the possible "suicidal thoughts" side effect, so no more meds for me.

Strattera was my wonder drug when I first started on it. It helps with depression as well, which is always a good thing. I REFUSE to take more stimulants. At 14 I was at the highest dose, extended release safe for me to take and it wasn't working. Which is esstentially what concerta is, extended release, higher dosage.

No way. I know what works for me. I only went off of it because I was POOR, not because it stopped working.

Does basic math escape him? A month = 4 weeks.

Thankfully, when I last went on strattera, I started noticing a change before I started the full dosage.

He also wants labs done. To show that I'm not ADHD, that it's a thyroid problem instead (and to check liver/kidney function, which is typical). You think that if any of the multitude of doctors that I had since I was 6 thought it was a thyroid problem they wouldn't have checked it out?

"Has it always been ADHD?" he asked, I'm pretty sure that he thinks girls can't be hyperactive.

I got a letter in the post today, telling me that my old employers want to give me a ridiculous ammount of money!

Told you they'd settle out of court.

See, that's what makes this even more amazing. It's not a settlement for the litigation, it's a severance package for a job they won't let me do any more! And the severance won't make a blind bit of difference to the case, so next year another windfall is likely too!!!

But hey, when it comes through, Kim Chi Shushi on me k biggrin

Goooood news!

As one of my classics teacher deciced to retire, I now have the same teacher for everything. This is good because I no longer have to do a literature paper (made even better by the fact it would have been the Aeneid), and instead, do 2 history papers!!

The chances of me getting the grades I want have increased tenfold. I can't do literature for s**t.

So I just moved and lost my keyboard in the process. I kind of sort of felt like a mute for like two weeks. It was lame.

On the plus side it got me to go to more social functions, which led to my discovery that the freshman class is actually not that bad this year. The hippie to non-hippie ratio has gone up considerably compared to the last couple of years. And like 60% of them are really cute. I think I'm gonna corrupt some babays this year.

Edit: I think I just accidentally bent Gaia's space-time continuum. Sorry.

I hate these changes. They're just tossing links around and making some disappear and it's getting extremely frustrating. Yay for saving at lease "my posts" as a favorite in firefox. Can't trust gaia's links for s**t.
Edit: Yay, now my posts are in the middle of the FREAKING PAGE.
I think I might vacation from gaia for a few hours. This is ridiculous.

And we pretty much just got our first house, and the person I was hoping to work for just told me that she can't use me until January. Which is absolutely no help. crying I guess I'll go run around and drop off my resume at vet clinics. Maybe one wouldn't mind hiring me part time (any is better than none!) for kennels or something.

Great, the quoting mechanism's broken.
I hate when they update Gaia without testing it properly.

I couldn't put it off any longer -- I'm starting to blank out while driving. If we have to, we always have the credit cards in hard times.

I need to go back to the doctor. Two nights/days of twenty uninterrupted hours of sleep helped, but I'm starting to feel the nine hours in bed/three or less hours of sleep again. So I guess I'll be trying a different sleeping pill. crying

On the plus side, I think my 'official' ADHD screening is this week or early next week. (Official in quotes because I was technically diagnosed at RIT, I found out a bit ago, but UNL and the health centre here want to do their own evaluation before deciding on what course of treatment, if any.)

Does anyone know of any Pagan groups/traditions that actively pray to angels?
Also, does anyone know if there is any validity to the idea of angels being rooted in Paganism?
