Not so much fashion trends as much as its whatever ideas we can home in on that feel like are suitable for MC's. Fashion trends and other influences play their part as we hammer stuff out visually during mock-up and production.
Also I find it amusing and depressing that you find the resolute stance on Fallen King so wonky jarred on the male base. I rendered them out to work on the male base first, and personally I thought they look weird on female base because the way the female arms look.

I wouldn't say "current fashion trends" as much as just "whatever girls want at the moment". I'm pretty damn sure if Gaia didn't have to check every 15 minutes to make sure there's always something for girls to wear they could take more chances, and put out a lot more unique items.

I'm also pretty damn sure if folks actually bought into stuff other than cute, frilly, and girly, we would be more prone to doing other stuff. I shooould knoooooooow.....
I cannot stress that part enough Suits. It is a pain that the core audience/majority of this site HONESTLY and THOROUGHLY prefers the stuff you hate over the stuff that you and I BOTH would like to see more of, and that it is a pain that as we have to dance to their tune (or at least in my opinion and my experience thus far) in order to carry on for another day. But that's how stuff happens, you know...and you just gotta do what you have to do and hope for the best.
Obviously I'm trying to keep an open ear and do what I can manage...
