I has the day off, and am going to a wedding today. Waiting for davit to get done in the bathroom so I can do my hair, makeup and then go to pick up our friend and go to the campsite where the wedding is.
Have fun.

...I also need to explain that you don't always have to wear a tie. Thankfully, I talked him out of a suit jacket.

I used to live in ED. Now it just makes me want to shoot someone in the face. I think I need to stay away a bit longer for my own sanity and lack of homicide and/or suicide.
Ditto. And while part of me says "Get real Kitty, you know the ED was NEVER good," another part is shouting "I WANT MY OLD ED BACK! crying "

Also, hi Puppy. heart

Yeah. Combination of not feeling like I can get my words together coherently, and not wanting to allow the stupidity room in my brain, and coming into the threads I feel like I have something to say in when they're already 800 pages long and Tea/Nuri/Poe/Triste/Chiewy/HDC/Celeblin/insert-any-other-madly-intelligent-and-eloquent-reg-here have already skewered the stupid much better than I feel I ever could. So I don't end up posting much. And just lurking and NOT posting gives the stupid far too much brainspace. So I just give up.

Pretty.

It's a little strange looking, but if the kitchen is sleek and modern in feel as well, it would be a nice addition.

I mean, an ounce of quality saffron is anywhere from $275 to 375$ American.
Good gods man. Where the hell are you buying your saffron?
Let me know so I can come over and undercut them.

I might be wrong on my measurements, lol. AFAIK, the price of saffron can vary wildly depending on the place and quality - it's very likely that a place like my corner of Ohio (which has less than a handful of stores that carry saffron) would be selling it for very high prices. In general though, a pound goes for $500 to $5000, depending on the growing region and where you are in relation to it.

Nuri - Have fun!

There's a spice shop north of where I live that sells amazing spices. It's the only place I know where I can get zatar. heart

The owner is one sharp cookie. There was an overstock on saffron a while back and she snagged same amazing Spanish saffron- no white pips in the lot. Sold on the tin for about $30... about a thirtieth of what it should have been.

I've heard of zatar, but I've never had it. >.<

Omgoodness... I need to find a local spice shop and get in with the owner. My city is growing, and is getting a more international attitude (especially toward food), but it's still the Mid-West, and my city is also one of the top cities for fast food in the country. It's hard to find flavors here other than grease and parsley.

I love living in the Pacific NW. We get a lot of Asian foods- there's a joke around here that you are a PacNW native when you can tell the difference between Thai, North and South Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean and seven different regions of Chinese food, and can pair each with a different kind of coffee.

I would love to! I haven't visited the thread yet though, because I'm still floating in a limbo, as far as my life is concerned. My financial, education, and living situation could change at any moment for a variety of reasons. As it looks now, I'm gonna be in the midst of moving to NYC next summer - but again, that can change any moment. >.< I'll make sure and pop in there once things look up

As someone who loves both coffee and all sorts of Asian foods, that sounds pretty amazing. xd

Seattle is number 2 on the list of places I would love to move to - has been since I was little and my dad refused a job there because it's "cold and rainy." NYC is number one because it's closer. More of a tie really. stressed

Moving 'cross the continent for me is going to have to wait till I'm done with university, for sure.

I would love to move to Seattle someday. Or any major city not in the south or midwest. I just need to get through university first. *sigh*
