Awws. How awesome. I'm not able to get a job down here yet... been trying 11 months now. Everyone who's hiring, gets taken before I get there, and how good is it going to be to see a nearing 21 year old without a High School Diploma... =/

Finally putting up my pathways thread. There's going to be a full page of reserved posts, and it won't be nearly finished, but it's coming along quickly. Just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone was interested.

Why not try and get your GED?

This is ridiculous. I actually need to finish a book soon.

I'm currently reading:
- A Sociology textbook
- The Satanic Bible
- A Clockwork Orange
- Wicked
- Eats, Shoots, and Leaves
- The Upanishads

Ah. Oh well. Maybe it will serve as an example and she'll change her behavior.
Not likely. She won't equate being a thief with indulging racism.
I swear, someone should make road signs.

What part of how equating a culture to swindling is offensive don't you get?

"But I don't care about the history of the word or how offensive it is to those people! It's not how I'm using it and everyone should adopt my cultural understanding and ignore the hundreds of years of hate and murder!"

As if it's possible to use a word independently of its cultural context? Yeah, that kinda makes no sense. neutral

Heh cool. :3 Can you lead me the textbook? j/k. I do need to brush up on my sociological terms and what not before I take a college level sociology class. Along with Psychology.

But I went to the library across the street from me. :3 I found Drawing Down the Moon. I didn't get it cause I didn't have my card on me. I'll grab it tomorrow. I didn't see Silver Ravenwolf or Triumph of the Moon, but I saw a few of Sylvia Browne's books. >.<

That would've been very unpleasant if I'd been drinking tea when I read it. xD

I so need to cut my hair. I'm thinking this: bit.ly/zBET7 I haven't had bangs in forever, any thoughts?

It looks a bit asymmetric, but that might just be due to the tilt of her head. If it's equal lengths on both sides, I think it looks good. Asymmetry in hair isn't my bag, though (not that it really matters when it's your hair and all).

Why not try and get your GED?
To get my GED, I need money. Money I do not have because I do not have a job. A job I do not have because I am technically a high school dropout, and that looks bad on applications to even the smaller places like McDonald's or another fast food or convenience stores and the like. So, without a GED or HSD, I'm stuck in a little loop, hoping my parents can eventually get money for me to get a GED so I can take the classes and be done with it.

As for my "dropping out," due to some constant moving, I was never really able to finish high school. I'm going to avoid the story as that would seem rather silly to post it up here, and I'd rather not type it all up. Let's just say that in about 21 years of life (as will be the case September 2nd), I've moved approximately 34 times. Needless to say, that causes some issues on as far as education requirements among several states.

Despite my anger issues, the pastor at The Alpha & Omega Christian Gnostic Church, has recognized me as an Elder of his Church as of last Sunday.

It's finally starting to sink in what that means so now I can actually appreciate and have respect for the title.
