T Thorn Coyles Elemental Podcasts
This is the latest one. It should also be noted, that before Thorn put the podcast out, she opened up a discussion on her livejournal about the Frosts, where she went on about what she felt that we should neither demonize or regulate them to the sweet old couple, since there are significant problems that should be dealt with, beside the abuse -- Gavin is strongly anti-Christian, which causes many cringing moments on the podcast
That all said? This is really a good series. Lots of authors from all over, many of whom I wouldn't read their books, but when they speak, I like listening to them.

Fiddlers Green And people get after me when I say that some people, and their entire philosophies, aught be scourged from the face of the world. I am told to be more understanding of the way of life and I need to develop more cultural relativism. Hrmph. Evil is Evil, and it aught be opposed, not allowed to flourish because it is a valid philosophical alternative. rolleyes
Just because they might see it as a valid philosophical alternative doesn't mean you, I, or anyone else for that matter, have to condone *****, rape, racism, etc. sad

Collowrath Just because they might see it as a valid philosophical alternative doesn't mean you, I, or anyone else for that matter, have to condone *****, rape, racism, etc. sad But the world I live in, the way I am, it's just as dangerous. There is nothing save my own perspective that justifies my behavior. Divine mandate can be had for just about anything, if you look hard enough... So when I say I have a sacred duty, it really is less unique than it may seem.
When stand in judgment over a practice, a person or a culture... I know I am right. I have been told many of histories most vile villains also knew they were right. What makes me fit to divide good from evil, fair from foul?
All I have to call upon is Gnosis, as expressed thru conscience at times. As many people have noted, I refuse to refer to my own Gnosis with the U and P. For me to consider the knowledge sacred and Truth, I cannot have any doubt at all. It is not Unverified, for it is the very definition of Veritas, that it is pure and direct knowledge is all the verification I require. There is nothing Personal about it, it is Universal. Without this, how could I claim that something is vile, rather than just distasteful to me personally?
I live on what is plain to see is a slippery slope, with the conviction that suggests a perfectly flat and stable pillar of adamant.
Internally, I have no doubt. Intellectually, I think I should. The Soul and the Mind war.
Wow, that rambled a bit farther than I intended.
