HI Y'ALLS!!

Chit chatting with y'alls via Tea's computer. Who is much nicer than Eliam, curse his electronic soul grrrrrr.

Looking forward to Summerfest, although I worry over whether my christian paraphenalia may offend some of their sensibilities

At least I get to look forward to the week of Torchwood next week!!!! SOOOO excited! And I think they're going to show the newest Doctor Who episode in the US soon, which I really enjoyed and will enjoy even more when it's not on my computer screen ^_^

I've already seen it. It's awesome and epic and OMGCOOL...but you'll probably hate RTD after it's over. Like, really hate. And have tissues ready for the second half. Lots of them.

That's all I'm saying. ninja

Torchwood was some of the best TV I have seen in a long time.

RTD has help writing it and you can tell. It was not bogged down with plotholes and unrelated storylines, the subject matter was truly shocking and exiting.
They broke some proper media taboos (sorry RTD, but homosexuality just isn't a ground breaking shock anymore....especially on torchwood).

@collowrath- Get a LJ! I have one for spiritual things ^_^

Thanks for the input! I'm really excited now to get started on it and to have a place to put my thoughts.

Nuri - I would love an invite for Dreamwidth! My email is d_slovak@hotmail.com.

Ainwyn, one of the things you can always do is set up a blog reader to capture DW entries. Also, I think you can actually see your lj friends on dw reading list. It's sort of neat.

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to playing with it and getting involved with the community. I might set up an LJ anyhow and use the cross-posting features and all for the community that LJ has, once I figure out the Dreamwidth system.

There are a few in the area.

yup! i posted things on amber & jet and a few people have offered to look into stuff for me, including a Gardnerian coven who flat-out said they were accepting pre-initiates. i was pretty surprised since i said i was starting college and i thought covens wouldn't like how young i am.

Your coven will provide you with that.

oh, i know! it's just that A&J is an intermediate seeker list and i didn't want to disappoint anyone who is expecting me to have a good knowledge of Outer Court.

Which tradition are you looking into?

not sure yet, or what's even offered in the area! can you give a source that explains the differences in traditions?

Save it, in case you find yourself really broke and need toilet paper.

according to the cover, Buckland is America's leading authority on Witchcraft.

so, i have kind of decided to seek a legit coven of the Wica.

Good luck!
mrgreen .

Vivianne Crowley's "Wicca: A Comprehensive Guide..." is also something you probably want to read starting off.

there are actually several books i've had a hard time finding yet, and that's one of them! i'm sure the libraries up in the seattle/tacoma area will be much better stocked in those areas than southeast texas. XD

He seems to think he's a leading authority on many different things - witchcraft, spirit communications, Wicca, Saxon Witchcraft, Scottish Witchcraft (blanketing it all with the label Picts, without being completely accurate), "G~" Fortune Telling, "G~" Love Magick, "G~" Tarot, "G~" Witchcraft and Magic...

Yeah...it's easy to propose one's self is a leading authority, when it's your own book you're publishing.

Toilet paper, fire starter, or table stabilizer...

I believe the last I saw of my copy of Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft, it was under my bedside table to keep my kitten from climbing under it and pulling out dust bunnies. It was the perfect size to slide under the table.

It's not there any more, but I can't seem to recall what task I have put it to since. That was almost a year ago.

Interlibrary loans are your friend. 3nodding I'm pretty sure you can just request the book you want, and your library can get it from another, better-stocked library for you.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

some noob tried to scam me out of my ancient katana. when i told him that i've been on gaia for six years and have enough experience with scammers to know what he was doing, he told me he'd been on gaia for ten years, and then set his PMs to friends-only before i could tell him that gaia hasn't even existed that long.
