"ok" she said threw the bites of the thrush. when Dewpool finished the thrush she felt much better "ok" she said "im....done" she lay down on her side so Firesong could see her bad side and sat patiently "any...new...apprentices...yet....its....about....time....." she said starting to regain her voice.

Creampaw, totally confused and scared, rolled around in the middle of camp. She was just that crazy.

"hey watch out Creampaw you almost hit me!" she shouted with her voice fully back "why dont you find Duskwind and go on a hunting patrol it must be low, after all hurt or not im still deputy" she said "Creampaw is a little out of control maybe it would be better if she had a mentor, i think Duskwind should be her mentor." she whispered to Firesong then she settled down

Duskwind was awakend by a ruckus outside. She streched and ran outside. "Creampaw? What are you doing?" Duskwind said still sleepy.

"Um...wanna go on a hunting patrol with me, Duskwind?" Creampaw asked, jumping up.

Firesong watched the eager apprentice with amusement. "I'll see if I can't mention that to Shadowstar." She inspected Dewpool's eye. It was no wonder the poor warrior couldn't see. Blood had crusted over the eye, keeping it almost shut. She began to clean the eye, trying to be gentle. Once she finished, she looked at the gash. It hadn't actually pierced her eyeball. She smiled at Dewpool. "Your eye will be just fine. Just let me put some Chervil juice on the scratch. This way, you won't need a poultice blocking your vision." She treated Dewpool, then looked at her seriously. "Make sure you check in with me everyday until that wound heals. I'll probably have to apply the Chervil a few more times."

Duskwind looked at the half-empty freshkill pile. "Well the freshkill pile does look a little empty...Sure, but try not to wake up the whole forest."

Frostfang sat there. she was really bored, ''Anyone want to go on a hunting patrol with me?''

((not much need for that Firesong she goes blind in her left eye anyway))

"hey Frostfang why dont you go with Duskwind and Creampaw they were just leaving"
she turned her attention back to Firesong "i dont think ill be able to see any way i can only see out of my right eye" she stood up slowly "do you think ill be well enough to do me job?" she asked her

Creampaw heard Dewpool say something about her and Duskwind's hunting patrol. "Actually, I think I wanna hang around here," she mewed to Duskwind. "I don't know why, but I just do."

"Oh no you don't! The clan need food and we are going to get food!" Duskwind said. "And Dewpool I'm sure your eye won't effect your ability to be deputy."

((Duskwind i planned it for her to go blind in her left eye because she was always bragging about how great she was and this teaches her to just be greatful for what she has so she learned a valuable lesson okays?))

"yeah Duskwind i know" Dewpool looked around "has anyone seen Shadowstar?, shes always been going off on her own ever since she became leader...what would we do if she got hurt, we cant afford a hurt leader" Dewpool said, half to herself "ok im one to talk" she thought "i always run off for the good of the clan, just like Shadowstar." she thought again

"Well at least Shadowstar has 9 lives." Duskwind mewed.
