The lack of fairness in the world can be disheartening. neutral

i've been unfair in one way or another. i think it's only human.

in my case, it was so weird that i was judged merely by appearance, and then when i opened my mouth, it was a 180 degree turn.

I wonder if anyone here has played Umineko no Naku Koro Ni - When the Seagulls Cry.

It's a really an interesting story. It's call a "game", but it's really just a visual novel where one clicks to go through the dialog and progress through the story. There aren't any challenges, no puzzles and no choices, other than the choice to proceed.

Still, it's really really good.

There's a demo version that can be downloaded, along with the patches to translate it from Japanese to English, that are linked from the site above. =D

so, basically if i say nothing, everyone thinks i'm a fluffy bunny white-lighter "sweetheart," and if i start asking questions about lineage and discerning who deserves the title Wiccan or not, i get cold-shouldered.
Did we already give you your membership card, t-shirt and key fob?

There are key fobs!?

I'm doing a 3 mile walk for a local charity event today.
The charity is 'rosies helping hands' which is entirely local and raises money for childrens hospitals, youth facililities etc. The charity was founded in honour of a girl called Rosie. She was several years older than me, and went to both my primary and secondary school. She was stabbed by a mentally ill man in Birmingham city centre.
Rosies walk happens every year.

So I asked the friend why I'm seen as a witch by her.

I have a feeling the answer is only going to irritate me further.

are experiences like that really that common? i am such a naive little newbface. the world is going to eat me alive.

... i am kind of tempted to go about making membership cards. t-shirts would be easy [:

Poe, may I call you Poe? your avatar is displaying as a x, is there some glitch on my end or is something up?
Also, your profile is... oh, never mind, seems that was intentional. sweatdrop

It's intentional. XD

There's an item that makes one's avatar show a broken picture instead of an actual avatar.

I'm going the enigma route lately.

Sure, you can call me Poe. *nodnod*

I'm so glad you said this. I got mad at my computer for not being able to load your avatar correctly. sweatdrop The poor thing, I need to apologize for being rude to it again.

Read back through the guild... while I don't think anyone thought I was a Fluff, they sure took issue with me when I first got here... to say nothing of the kind of s**t that hits the fan when I play DA these days. heart

I have the leather for the fobs.

Also- people might be amused by this. I got my 90 Day Review (over 90 days late... ninja ) and in the discussion I mentioned to my boss that I was a theology major with a minor in Material Arts and Sciences.

My other boss snickered and remarked to my husband "She majored in the ethereal and minored in the material".

I think I might have to get that tattooed on my right buttock after I graduate... if I ever get back to school.

i think i remember nuri saying something along those lines about you recently. X3

this instance, however, was my first IRL experience. when i get into arguments IRL i get all spaztic and slur my speech and thoughts and get really nervous and want to run and hide. it's awful.

Just a function of practice. I used to be the same way.

Which reminds me... I can no longer say I have never trolled anyone. I actually RL trolled a pompous a** by turning his words around on him and playing dumb.

He was ranting about how the Burger King Bagel menu items aren't Kosher. I looked very puzzled and said "So... not playing into racial stereotypes is a bad thing?"

"No No! That's not what I'm saying at all. I just meant I was surprised, since they are bagels and all..."

"I like bagels, I'm not Jewish..."

"I KNOW That! What I'm saying is, marketing to the Jewish community should have been a 'gimmie', the fact that they didn't is surprising!"

"I'm not all that surprised. After all, there are people who aren't Jewish who like bagels, and people who are Jewish that dislike them..."

"You're not getting it!"

"Hmmm... maybe not." confused

Then I had a good laugh when he wandered off to pester someone else.

Yeah... maybe after kids, unless I come into enough money that I don't have to worry about it.
