So apparently, I was wrong as to which instructor/guest instructor from my studio was on So You Think You Can Dance.
But in a good way. Because Evan, the Gene Kelley dancer who has taught workshops for us made the top 20. He's also a former student of my instructors husband (in college, not in dance smile )
WOO HOO!

So I bought a new mac and all the neccessary pieces to make it run arrived today. I've just finished installing windows (for gaming) and I have to say, Windows XP with Service Pack 3 is a very nice little operating system. It cripples my computer, by reducing the effectiveness of the cpus to 25%, but that's ok. It was that or *shudder* vista *vomit*

Doesn't matter really, I intend to download and play one MMO on it and that's it. xD

She failed. And since I'm not going to be home next school year (and I hardly ever go home), I don't want to try it because I won't be able to help much then. Also, my mother has banned me from trying to optimize the new computer because I attempted to do that to our very old computer and made it crash at least every 3 months. xD So I have to choose one game and that's it. Doesn't matter really, I have Spore, Stepmania, SimCity 4 and The Sims 3 running on my Macbook.

That computer lasted 8 years with less than 1 gig of ram and only 30 GB in the hard drive. And a tester version of XP because my mother at the time worked for a software testing company and got a pre-release version of XP Professional from Microsoft. One that resists upgrades.

I have been very quiet around here, Life has been all sorts of busy between homeschoolers and public school and crappy filmmaking. Side-note on the last: $500,000 is not enough to pay your crew with. It's Hollywood small potatoes. But for crying out loud, that's still a lot of money to throw down the toilet because you don't bloody understand the script you're directing.
...But what do I know, I'm just crew. rolleyes

So for taking care of my brother while the parentals are in the Bahamas, I was given Sims 3 (technically given by a different brother) and $50 card to Kohls.
Dude, I'm just giving him a place to sleep, newspapers and food! And he's paying for all of that!

Depends on your OS. With XP SP3, having your computer crash that often or more often is a little worrying. Having apps crash, not so big a problem. With Vista, having your computer crash isn't all that surprising.

I saw star trek yesterday! Spock has never been so sexy. Chekov has never been so hilarious. Aliens have never looked so alien-y!
I loved it. ^_^
