I've heard toothpaste on a bug bite is supposed to cut down on itching. I personally like the sound of oatmeal paste better, though.

i just use willpower and ignore my bug bites. refrain from itching them, and eventually they stop itching.
now, if only i could use willpower for more constructive things, like getting my laundry done, or finding a job.

good news!
yesterday, i was back at MEPS, made tape, got my job and took my oath.
so...
going in as an E-2, into the AECF program (Advanced Electronics and Computers Field), shipping on September 22 of this year.
we're scheduling the DLAB, in which case, if i pass, i'll probably be shipping sooner and i'll be going into Intel.

Taliah What's worse was that he was blaming the women for him being so bitter and jaded. Whole post was him being angry about them wronging him by being to him. And yet he continued to date these same types of girls. Just because he felt so ashamed to not be in a relationship, instead of being content with himself until the right girl came along.Wow, so he only associates with the people he can't stand, and then hates all of their gender because he constantly exposes himself to the ones he doesn't like. That is in the middle ground between funny and sad. neutral Ainwyn Anyone have a way to deal with painfully itchy bug bites? I've run out of anti-itch cream and my dad's not going to the store until Sunday. Right now I'm popping allergy meds and painkillers and it's just not helping! I usually use Honey.

The biggest problem is that I scratch them on my sheets in my sleep and wake up in severe pain. If it was just a normal itch, I'd be fine, but I'm insanely allergic to mosquito bites so it's more of a burn than an itch. I've also been doing a lot of work lately that has me crawling around, so my knees are getting irritated. Tea - Mosquito bites. Possibly other things as well, as I've been working in the grass, but definitely mosquito bites. They're worse around my house right now than they were when I was in Thailand.

My mom recommends the toothpaste for mosquito bites. I don't know if oatmeal is specific to certain kinds of itching, but it sure works for the chicken pox!

They're worse around my house right now than they were when I was in Thailand. toothpaste mostly works with those because of the baking soda element. oatmeal is a good one all around. when i used to get bad mosquito bites, we used a paste of baking soda and water (can't remember the portions, but it doesn't take much water as you'll want a nice pack of white over the bite). it can take a bit of time for it to soothe and resist the urge to scratch when it dries.

The ice cubes worked really well to deal with the swelling, so thanks to whoever suggested that! Most of them have healed to the point that they don't itch anymore, so they're a nice purple color *wrinkles nose* I'll keep the baking soda paste in mind, as I'm sure I'm bound to get more while camping out in the yard next week. Don't know how good toothpaste would be... does mint attracted mosquitoes?
This week is going to get ******** stressful (my mom is visiting at staying in my room; she and my dad finally decided to get divorced last fall and this is the first time she's been back). Thankfully my partner will be here the whole time, and I'm going to be spending Friday at the zoo with my partner and a friend I haven't seen in over a year. And she had a baby several months ago, so we get baby time!!!

This might be a negative to all the other solution, but I just usually scratch my mosquito bites. It's so soothing. sweatdrop
