TeaDidikai Recursive Paradox Marriage is an asinine tradition That's a rather bigoted point of view.
Perhaps. But I suppose the exclusion and delegitimization of poly individuals and our involvements within the tradition of marriage (a rather bigoted arrangement in and of itself, no?) has me a bit bitter with the whole affair.
*Edit* Actually, I would like your reasoning explained to me as to how that is a bigoted point of view. Because I admit I'm a bit confused as to how you came to that conclusion. To be entirely clear (in case of misunderstanding) I'm criticizing the tradition and its harmful effects on a certain disenfranchised group of people. I am not calling married individuals or the culture that made the current incarnation of marriage what it is asinine.
Quote: And why are you addressing the sum total of the history of marriage as asinine?
I never said the sum total. Why do you have the impression that I meant the sum total? The current incarnation is where my issue arises.
Quote: Granted, I want my legal doctuments to say Civil Union, but that doesn't mean I don't want to be married to my husband. stare
I never said you didn't want to. confused
