I should probably stop reading all these Buddhist sutras and start working on some of my neglected art projects. I'm beginning to find them depressing.

Byaggha TeaDidikai I'm beginning to find them depressing. Which, the sutras or the neglected art? xd Yes. 3nodding I still have a hard time with the concept of Samsara and suffering. Buddhism and my love of hedonism tend to clash.

TeaDidikai Yes. 3nodding I still have a hard time with the concept of Samsara and suffering. Buddhism and my love of hedonism tend to clash. It does that to people. Like I say frequently, the whole thing's not for everyone. 3nodding

Fiddlers Green Recursive Paradox If it needs to be said, then it needs to be said. It may hurt if it's harsh critique but if it's constructive then I'm sure we'll all get over it. I'd offer to help with the PM process, but I'm pretty drilled with work, school, projects, job hunting and figuring out the financial situation right now. So I think I'm going to have to decline. Sorry. Hopefully the others can help nicely. No worries, we all are busy with issues to deal with. I hope my good fortune of late spreads out to everyone else. I hope so too. Right now I have to figure out how to fill out an application that by legal necessity requires the wrong name. I really need to do the name change soon. ASAP even.

For a non-depressing sutra, the house of Bya (including the principality of Mr. Bya the Theravadan) highly recommends the Therigatha, or the Stories of the Elder Nuns. Frankly, I found the whole thing very nifty; reading about the lives of the first Buddhist nuns really carried me through some rough times. But I like people's life stories. If that doesn't do it for you, try I always get a kick out of the king of devas and his problem finding someone willing to teach him - because as a king of devas, shouldn't you know everything? biggrin Sakka-panha Sutra

I'm listening to Boa's Hypnotic Dancefloor, which is kind of technoish and Byaggha's signature was perfectly dancing to it. xD
