Elfin Brill Oh drat... evil I've met a otherkin!!! She claims to be a werepanter! gonk How do I get her back on earth? Convince her she's really just furry, then introduce her to the Burned Furs group. She'll either snap out of it, or wind up screaming bloody persecution. At which point, liberal application of the Trout of Forgetfulness is in order. ninja
(Side Note: Burned Fur is/was a subgroup of the furry fandom dedicated to sloughing off the lifestyler/otherkin/zoophile/cub/AB attachments to the core fandom.)

Ok. Just to play DA There are intelligent, well balanced, friendly, well adjusted Otherkin. I am not an Otherkin. I have friends who are.

reagun ban There are intelligent, well balanced, friendly, well adjusted Otherkin. True. I know a few. Then again, the well-balanced Otherkin I've known tend to be very spiritual and respectful about it as well. There are also those who truly believe that under the right circumstances they will in fact change form to show the true nature of their souls. I most usually hear the "were-something" term used by those of the latter persuasion in reference to themselves. The "normal" Otherkin, as it were, I've found on the whole (again, within my own experience among known 'kin) to simply refer to themselves as "something-kin". Pantherkin, Leopardkin, Wolfkin, Lemurkin (I honestly know a lemurkin).
Then again, I wonder if any 'kin who can be convinced that they're really "just furry" is truly a 'kin at all. Does "Fluffy Bunny" strike a strange chord when speaking of 'kin to anyone else?
