Bakura Amane Punk Fox TH Anyone mind giving me their opinion on my thesis paragraph for one of my research projects: In the six hundred years since the invention of movable type, the world of publishing has experienced many changes. Initially used for religious texts, the printing press has moved to create both secular but informative works and then later on to entertainment. Even so, a new technology may soon be able to challenge Gutenberg's invention in importance to the written word. Electronic publishing is presenting a new challenge to the publishing industry by threatening to change the way people think about books; evidenced by the recent trends in ebook wholesales, a recent the dispute between Amazon.com and Macmillian Publishers, and the growth of independent , electronic book publishers through services such as Smashwords. Fairly good, but I've edited a few things (in red) in your quote. 3nodding These are only suggestions. Use or don't use as you please. 3nodding
Wasn't worried about editing yet, but thank you! And I'm mostly wanting to know if it's focused enough that my paper won't blindside my professor. I mean, he knows I'm discussing epublishing's effects on the publishing industry, most illustrated by the Amazon/Macmillan thing, for my macroeconomics class.

Okay two very random things, but hey that what this thread's for, right? 3nodding Anyway, if you're friends with me on Facebook check out my latest photo album there; I added one with all these cool pictures of our cat Frankie! mrgreen Secondly, I probably will be scarce for the next few weeks, especially around American Thanksgiving because I am working Black Friday (4:30 am -- WHO'S BRIGHT IDEA WAS THIS?! scream to 2:00 pm -- oh well, at least I get off early) and we're really busy getting things together I also have a dentist appointment the day before Thanksgiving. confused Oh well, such is life! This also means my avatar will not be changing much if at all. I will probably change her around some time next week, but most likely it will stay that way until after Black Friday. Anyway, as Tigger says, TTFN -- ta-ta for now! blaugh Wooo-hooo!
