My ex is threatening the divorce papers on her blog. This is after a series of subtle insults in a conversation today. FML?

sad Well... maybe some closure could be a good thing?

Oh, the divorce doesn't bother me. Other things do, but the divorce is okay. Is our guild private, or can anyone read?

Sorry it took me a bit to reply- it's been busy over here.

I checked, we're set to private. If I remember, I put it to private when we opened up the facebook chapter. Now, if I recall private does not hide us from registry but I believe our posts should be kept visible only to members.

This is easily tested if anyone has a mule which is not a guild member.

Well, I now know my work schedule (and apparently I'm part-time at least for now). 3nodding I am working Thursday from 18:00 to 22:00 as a cook; Saturday from noon to 16:00 as a driver; next Tuesday from 10:30 to 17:00 as a driver. rolleyes I guess it's not THAT bad. Just a bit nervous, but I'm sure Miss Garmin will help calm me down more. 3nodding

Oh yes, and the avatar is just like me now. Relaxing while I can and enjoying life as it comes. Also quite possibly, if I earn enough and we can get the house cleaned well enough, we will be getting a cat in the near future. biggrin I am very much a cat person! 3nodding Anyway, as always, I will keep everyone posted. Feel free to call the cell if you have it, if not I'll be in and out, off and on, for a while until a set schedule comes about. Peace out! heart

Good luck with the new job! smile

The first few weeks can be rough, but usually once you get the hang of it the job gets much better.

My work appears to be holding a costume contest...Not sure why. Should I enter? Any ideas for a costume?

First thing that popped into my head as an idea was a jester and I don't know why. That may be what I'll dress up as if I have to dress up AND if I can find a decent costume or costume materials. 3nodding It sure fits my personality that my family sees a lot! rofl

Maybe, but I probably won't end up getting a costume this time arounds. Don't feel the excitment over it this year.

Well, truth be told, I'm not really ever in the mood to dress up for Halloween. I just don't like Halloween; it's not my favorite holiday by a long shot, at least not any more. The last costume I ever did was as Ryou Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! and that was because I worked at the local grocery store that year and there was a contest. I also usually stay home to greet trick-or-treaters with my mom. We alternate or do it together. Last year I did it because I needed a study break from all the school work. Anyway, if I do dress up I'll make sure to get a picture of me in my costume; I'll probably just put on a graphic tee (much like my facebook picture); Reeses or Hershey's or something like that. *yawns* For now, I think I'll be a pillow and lay on the bed over YAWNder! wink Bad joke! xd Sorry.

Riddle me this, gang:

What is the logic behind firing a manager who has always done his job exceptionally well, was well liked by his subordinates and always went above and beyond even when he didn't have to? Because that just goddamn happened at my (soon to be ex) job today to the John Lennon-esque figure that I've mentioned here a few times before.

I pride myself on not letting many things get to me, but I am seriously livid right now.

Because there are people so evil they could be Disney villains in the world. Unfortunately it's the nice ones who go above and beyond that sometimes threaten the dark hearted jerks. Even if said manager has no desire to move up- none the less some paranoid person who is a miserable human being gets paranoid.

Also, some people have a hard time understanding that there are genuinely good people in the world. And for some reason it is threatening to have a happy work force. God forbid.

I do believe we have found the most well-behaved cat ever and our "purfect" new member to add to our family. 3nodding His name is Frankie; we met him today and boy is he such a docile cat. He loves Mom and just wants to be near her and loves to be petted and brushed! Oh, did I mention he's a Ragdoll and 4 paw declawed? mrgreen Perfect! We heart him so much; so much so that we are actually cleaning the house up, planning on purchasing a cage, a pet bed, blankets, food, liter, bowls, toys, a pet carrier, and other stuff. We have never gotten this serious about ANY of the other cats we've visited; I will keep you informed as this week (starting from today and ending next Saturday) goes on and what develops. 3nodding

The sounds a lot my mom's cat Abbie. Very well behaved cat who loved attention, though I think she likes to see how often we'll let her in and outside of the house...

Tonight's random musings:

Nanowrimo forums are crap, so few people actually discuss things.

I am considering hanging up my hook on Gaia.

Anyone mind giving me their opinion on my thesis paragraph for one of my research projects:

In the six hundred years since the invention of movable type, the world of publishing has experienced many changes. Initially used for religious texts, printing press has moved to create both secular but informative works and then on to entertainment. Even so, a new technology may soon be able to challenge Gutenberg's invention in importance to the written word. Electronic publishing is presenting a new challenge to the publishing industry by threatening to change the way people think about books; evidenced by recent trends in ebook wholesales, a recent dispute between Amazon.com and Macmillian Publishers, and the growth of independent electronic book publishers through services such as Smashwords.

Fairly good, but I've edited a few things (in red) in your quote. 3nodding These are only suggestions. Use or don't use as you please. 3nodding
