Recursive Paradox Taliah Recursive Paradox They prescribed water. Either my doctor is an idiot or I am. >.< Well... considering all that, it does sort of make sense. At least it's a very inexpensive prescription, and not a future surgery bill. 3nodding Hope you feel better soon. The water is helping (so I guess I'm the idiot x_x) and the cough is cooling down a bit. On macs vs. windows PC's vs. Linux: How do these three compare on gaming (Ragnarok Online, Diablo II, Warcraft III, Starcraft, etc etc), programming (I often have to ssh into the servers at the school to do my work), word processing (I do a lot of writing), art management (my scanner is an HP) and touch ups (I normally use Photoshop but I'm considering switching to GIMP) Because I'm going to be building my own desktop soon and I want to figure out what OS to use. I'm running a Linux system (ubuntu hardy heron) and for basic projects, the switch from Photoshop (CS9) was fairly painless, roughly the same as switching between Photoshop and PaintShopPro. However, there simply isn't anything close to photoshop for high end professional graphics imho! So I've rigged up an old xp machine for stuff like photoshop and i-tunes and anything else that throws a fit outside of windoze! All the same... linux is heart , and when I have money again, It'll be a mac for me and much much more heart heart heart

maenad nuri SpaceTerminal Destiny I think it's slightly creepy because everything looks the same, the grass is actually green on everyone's lawns, and they actually have the stereotypical mailboxes in front. xD AND EVERY TREE HAS BEEN PLANNED! I think that's kind of abnormal, since from what my planning textbook said, American cities are not usually planned very well. xD

I think my neighbohood had some of the only older trees.

Well, it also said that there aren't usually any overarching regional or state planning acts. And that's the reason why American cities are all messes or amazing. Because there aren't any real overseeing bodies.

I miss the days when I never, ever had to listen to the television at any point during the day unless I actually wanted to. I really do.

I miss the silence ):

Hers is already perfectly trained to not bother with the pollution of her surroundings. It'll build up eventually and be a nuisance regardless, I suppose, but she's got stamina here, probably from prolonged 'practice', whereas you have neither. From the sound of it, you've no wish to practice or build up stamina either, and I can't say I blame you considering the lack of quality television out there today.. Of course, that might just be utter bullcrap, but that'd be my guess. XD;

I need background noise to study. That's why I can never go to the library during exam time or really any other time because it is always dead silent. It scares me, especially when I shuffle around the bookshelves and I'm the only one making noise. gonk

Yay Deo!
But yeah, I need a relatively distraction-free environment to study in, or every little thing breaks my concentration. It sucks.
