First of all, I enjoy reading the current topic (but I don't want to take part myself). Secondly, I hate to divert the topic a bit, but I felt I should inform everyone of my current situation.

Those of you who don't know me outside Gaia may not know this because I only updated this today on Facebook, but I'm going to be absent even more frequently because it's now official. We are getting the new a/c and heater unit on Monday. This means that unless you contacted me through my profile here or some other way, you may not have any way to keep in touch with me on a regular basis until we refinance everything, but that won't take as long as initially planned. I'd explain, but it's rather personal and I don't want to get into it in such a public place. It's nothing bad, it's just something that you shouldn't share with EVERYone. 3nodding

I still appreciate thoughts, prayers, positive vibes, donations wink , and the like. Those are always nice. Also tomorrow I'm going to a job/career fair for an employement agency in the area, or at least planning to attend. If any more big events happen between now and Monday I will post back.

Lastly, if any of you read my journal (no, I'm not solicitating it; just informing you) I do plan to update Tuesday some time after my diabetic doctor's appointment. stare More fun! xp Yes, sarcasm again. rolleyes

Well, talk to you all when I can! heart

Christy-

I hope everything is ok. I haven't seen your update on Facebook, I'll have to check. For some reason I don't see much in the feeds from you- it could be the time of day I log in or that it gets bogged down by other feeds.

You'll definitely be in my prayers. As for donations- I don't think I can donate much (I'm desperately trying to save up money for an apartment)- I may only be able to donate a dollar or so.

Good luck with the doctor!

Best of luck to you with everything, Bakura.

As for what's going on with me:

- I'd like to say, first and foremost, that the college textbook racket has found its way on to my sh*t list. I don't know why it took so long.

- Protoss Void Rays are the bane of my existence. HATE.

- Over the summer, I've adjusted to a sleep schedule where I go to be at around 4-5 in the morning and don't wake up until noon. Being a night owl, I LOVE this, but I have to give it up soon. sad

- I'm starting to the get the "When are you going to find a nice girl and settle down" question from older relatives. Wooo! xp

IT HAS BEGUN...

Woe onto you my friend, woe. Once the ancient tomb of the meddling relatives has opened it CANNOT BE UNOPENED.

A brief note to let everyone know, the installation went off without too much trouble. Emotions are still high and we're still learning how to work a digital thermostat, but all in all I think it will be okay. Tomorrow I have to call or stop by City Hall (which for me is just down the street) to schedule for an inspector come out and finalize the inspection of everything. I hope I can relocate the permit that was given to us. I think I left it in my car when I thought I'd be able to get to City Hall today before they closed. Sadly, I did not. Anyway, got to get that done and learn more about this system. I have plenty of pictures I'll be taking and some I already took of the old units for comparison. I'll post them some time soon, most likely on Facebook. At any rate, nothing else to report...except...I'm hot! sweatdrop We've really got to learn how to work this digital thermostat wha-whose-it! xp

Friends, Gaians, Countrymen, I have returned.

The life of a puppet, alas, is not a good life. There are hands and sticks and strings in very awkward places.

You may be wondering why all the pink, minus my text, and you have every right to wonder since it is NOT my favorite color by a long shot! Well, my cousin just gave birth (early this morning) to a baby girl! mrgreen We're all so happy for her and her husband. 3nodding This is the cousin who's baby shower I attended last month, if you're curious. wink I will post more (maybe photos even, if I get to see them) as I learn or know about them.

On a side note, the inspector is coming back today for a re-inspection of our furnace and air conditioner. Also I had a TERRIBLE night with my diabetes/blood sugar. It was up to 204! eek I don't think it's ever been THAT high even when I was diagnosed. So if I seem out of sorts that's why. Talk to everyone later (and hopefully the rest of today and tonight will be better).

Congrats on the new addition to your family!

I hope everything works out ok with your blood sugar, that sounds pretty scary.

Found an amazing site called the GlassDoor, it's an employer review site. I'm smitten because it seems much more professional in nature than your average site. I'm drooling over it.

I liked jobrant, but it was hard to put a lot of stock in the things people wrote sometimes.

Yeah, I was lookin' at that site and thinking about joining; I'd enjoy reading what people have said about where I previously have worked. Seems like a great site, but I'm upset you have to join to read some things.

Is it wrong to look forward to an evening to having the entire house to yourself and my one cat?

Nope! I'd actually enjoy that some times myself. 3nodding Tonight's sort of like that for me as my mom is at her class reunion (with my uncle/Godfather) and Steven (my brother) minds his own business by watching tv or going into the basement to do whatever he pleases. I would really like to cuddle with a cat, but we don't have one...yet anyway! wink (Hope to get one in the next few years, but we'll just have to wait and see.)

Well, about 2 weeks ago I got my hair cut yet again; finally Mom's happy with this one (and, for a change, so am I). mrgreen So without further ado, here's my picture. Let me know if you can't see it and I'll figure out what to do.

I thoroughly wish I could clone my mom's cat. He's (almost) perfect. He's absolutely adorable, playful, VERY intelligent, loving, easy-going, has a cute meow, etc. It seems a shame he was neutered- awesome should be carried on genetically. Surprisingly though- her cat was a rescue cat- I can't see how anyone could part with him.

Dear Muse:

There are certain layers of pulp even I will not sink to.

Thanks for understanding.
