Predictably, the announcement of the next Doctor has sparked a small but annoying group of fans claiming Doctor Who is sexist because the Doctor's not regenerating into a woman. *headdesk*

But....he's a man. confused
I think it's a godawful choice. After looking everywhere to find who the ******** the guy was, I saw he was way too young and funny looking >.<
I had heard paterson joseph was going to do it for gods sake...and instead this nobody is. crying What a blow...

Apparently it makes perfect sense that the Doctor would regenerate into a body that doesn't sync with his gender identity and the show's sexist because he doesn't. gonk

I'm going in with no preconceptions, but I'm pretty sure I'll hate him for a few episodes at least for not being Tennant. I hated Tennant for a few episodes for not being Eccleston though, so it's sort of expected. ^_^

Eccleston was awesome. XD

Tennant kind of grew on me after a while, but I don't watch the show religiously, I have to admit. I just watch it whenever a friend of mine goes "Ooh! Watch this episode with me! It's awesome!"

So far, results of our chats while watching seem to indicate I would survive a Doctor Who episode. XD

I've not heard anything about just who the next Doctor is going to be, but I guess I'll find out when my friend gushes to me about it..

As for the sexist thing.. well.. everyone needs an excuse? XD

If Dr. Who were Jack, then Jack would probably regenerate randomly into both males and females. "This body has these advantages, but when you take the other one, ooh.. There's.. *insert long list of little known facts here*" XD
