By Odin's beard, I hate math!!

I spent nearly an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't get this freaking formula to work the way it supposed to only to eventually realize that I have to break down a smaller problem within the problem before I can incorporate it into the larger problem.

Gah!

Math was once something so beautiful that then transformed into something HIDEOUS. Advanced math is like opening up a Christmas present and finding a smaller present with in.... and a smaller one in that one.... and so on and so forth.

I've always hated math; I was never any good at it and the only math that ever came close to making sense was algebra and probability. 3nodding Even then it was sort of pushing it. lol

I've always been okay with math, but math doesn't always like or appreciate the way I think, so we're not usually compatible.

I really wish I was a math person, though. Because then I could fight crimes with the computer. >D

I was surprised by the lack of manners from people today. Everyone is just so grumpy and I find it odd that I'm not feeling mutually so since there seems to be something in the air affecting most people today. Maybe the cocoa I had for breakfast is what's making me immune.

I do feel weird today, though. Like I'm forgetting something.

Fukii- Rude people days are always Jarring.

Everyone-

Sorry I've been quiet a few days. Essentially although it is my downtime before class several things are going on to make an otherwise calm few weeks into crazy weeks.

I'm still job hunting and so that's led to some testing and interviewing with various companies... but not a single call back >.< Very frustrated.

I'm also getting ready for a trip to Beijing for school. This has meant all sorts of "fun" prep work. I'm also bumming because China sounds awesome- but, I prefer to travel with friends and family. When you travel with someone you love things are much better because you can share enthusiasm together. It's no offense to my classmates, but traveling with them doesn't sound very fun as I am not close to anyone in that group. I prefer to share a once in a lifetime trip with people I care about.

And I am so much a loser that I do not like the prospect of being across the globe from my boyfriend for an entire week.

I always said that I would marry someone who was good at math, just so I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore. I accomplished that part of my mission, but someone please explain to me how I still managed getting stuck in 2 different math related jobs. I was a finance clerk at a credit counseling service for a year, and then Target had me counting in their cash office. Bah.

And Antonia, I would never, ever, ever go anywhere without my husband, let alone to the other side of the world and for an entire week at that. So you totally have my sympathy.

Hi everyone! Still feeling guilty for leaving you all for the past week, almost, (gasp! eek ) without any warning! I completely blanked on having to put together a carport roof for my car, so when Steven asked last Sunday if I was ready to get started I about fainted (or at least felt like it). In any event, the roof is now up and it's a good thing too because it sounds like rain is in the forecast for a good 3 days or more now. 3nodding

Also on the other side of my life, I too am still job hunting. Steven found a wonderful job prospect for me and I'm willing to look into this one. I'd explain it, but it's a bit complicated. The second one is a receptionist type person at a local hospital. I don't mind that so much because I'd be sitting down and it's doable.

Anyway, other than preping for Memorial Day weekend AND my mom's birthday (which falls right on Memorial Day this year) and a sunburn, I have nothing else to report.

Yes, graduation came and went, too.

Oh the many joys of having a labtop with a bad battery charge. Anyway I really should stop being lazy and finish that D&D character background tonight...

Okay, I guess it's time to update everyone on some "minor" tidbits. I did not get the first job opportunity I thought was so great; the second one has yet to contact me in any way. My cousin is having a graduation party (she's about 4-5 years younger than I am) this Sunday; I have been attending parties like mad for the past week now and am starting to get a little stand-offish towards them since most of them do not involve me in the slightest. Lastly, I have a few ideas for a new, guild event after Amanda/Antonia returns. I'll ask her first then post here, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Well, that's all from this end. 3nodding Remember, keep posting; we want to make Amanda proud! blaugh

I'm sorry, Bakura. Something will come up. I once got a call about a job a few months after I had sent in my resume, so even though those bozos are leaving you hanging at the moment they may just be waiting for the right opportunity. Of course, you'll hopefully have a job before that.

A new event, huh? Can't wait to hear about it later. ^^

I took the opportunity to jog on my campus last night. It was excruciating courtesy of at least a mile's worth in stairs. xP Today my legs are punishing me over it, but I plan to repeat the process in a couple of days. They want to cause me pain? Two can play at that game. I was actually hoping that my abs would get more of a workout from the jog, but they're not sore at all today. I'll need to do a bunch of chair and bicycle crunches tonight to ensure their soreness tomorrow.

I've also been getting a lot of Doris Day reminders. I mean, I really like the song "Whatever Will Be" by her, and I've been planning to download her song for a while now, but I keep forgetting. So lately I've been hearing a lot of references to her. Seriously. Like the day before yesterday I watched Nurse Betty (the movie where Morgan Freeman's character develops an infatuation with Betty and compares her to Doris Day), and the same day I watched an episode of the Simpsons where Ned Flanders was singing that song. And that very same day I overheard someone whistling the song while in the grocery store. Yesterday a few friends of mine were talking about Doris Day (absolutely no prodding on my part, it just suddenly came up) and now the radio station I've been listening to is playing her song, and they don't normally play these types of songs (I'm guessing it was a special request).

So. I'll be downloading it as soon as I get home tonight. The universe has made it very clear to me that I should. Pfft.

Thanks, Fukii! mrgreen That makes me feel better. On a side note, I just realized I typed in the wrong day for my cousin's party; it's actually tomorrow. eek I'm so hoping to spend some time with her sister, who is only 5 months younger than I am, and her sister's husband (not sure how much younger he is). At any rate, I probably will be scarce tomorrow to warn everyone. I still am planning to keep everything in check here, though, so no partying too much while I'm away. wink

I wonder if people enjoy arguing with their Store Manager over nonsense reasons, or if it's just where I work. Who know's, random thought.

I shall now be calling my attempts at world domination schemes, world unification processes instead. Sounds a lot nicer...*gets shifty eyed.*

Seriously...I just posted something there. I'd like some feedback if you'd all be so kind.

Playing around with my avatar, working on so many projects I hope I can keep them all straight (virtual, digital, and physical), and just trying to stay cool. I have been found in so many places you are lucky to catch me. I hope things calm down soon. Also, Amanda/Antonia, if you catch me any where I have a few suggestions for the Summer months for this guild. 3nodding Everyone else, my journal (if you read it) will be updated tonight some time. mrgreen
