LadyBanhammer I really can't see myself functioning well within a community spiritually. Be it coven or grove or whatever. I know that Etherism isn't necessarily a solitary path but the fact that it easily allows solitary growth and spirituality is what makes it suit me so well. I think Solitary as good for some people. Though I also feel it's been a little over-played in the community. I used to think Solitary was the way to go, but there's so much to be gained and learned from connecting with a group. I was lucky enough to be introduced and taken in by StoneCreed Grove, the longest functioning fully chartered Grove in the ADF. And the inner-Grove has become my family over the last couple years. But I understand that Solitary just seems to work better for some people. I'm kind of spoiled having Ian Corrigan as an Elder and a Teacher, so I tend to be on the opposite side of the spectrum from you. But I've noticed that sometimes group work isn't for everyone, everyones path and spiritual needs are just a little different.

I'm still debating on NaNo. I'd like to do it, but I have nothing to write about. Nothing that would be worth reading upon completion anyways.

Making this s**t readable. I'm working within a setting I know really well, and that I've been writing in for the past year. And I rebel by not doing a traditional novel, but a series of short fiction. My real goal besides word count, is that I finish anything that I start during this month.

*Ahem* in other news.
I'd love nothing more than to be part of a local religious community. The solitary nature of my practice is not by choice. cry
I also have a soft spot for ADF. I'm in the process of getting as much info as I can about it, before I possibly bite the bullet and just do the bloody dedicant course to see if it gels with me.
THE SNOW IS STICKING zOMG!

October in Maynooth - today was the first day this winter that it's felt really cold. Falling leaves and a stiff breeze that meant it felt below freezing. Made a brisk walk enjoyable.
Oh, and I made soup from scratch today!

I've signed up for NaNo, but I'm not sure I'll finish it either. I've got a four week training, starting the first Monday of November, and considering the public travel services, I'm not sure how much time I'll waste just going back and forth between home and job-place.
I tried to get my friends to talk me out of it, but they were too enthused about me joining. Just my luck, too.
And it's cold here, too! No snow - yet - but temperatures'll drop below zero tonight, and you can tell already.
