Also; Things I Wish I didn't have to deal with at Events: Sexist, Racist and Violent language.

I think you need to start looking at them and kicking them in the shins and say "That's from my friend Tea. I got angry looks when I asked why a lot of trash-talk was homophobic sexual dominance talk. I need to talk to nick about it -- it's really starting to make me uncomfortable. He's only going to encourage me to speak out more -- which is also really uncomfortable, when the people I'm talking to, could actually beat me up.

He's only going to encourage me to speak out more -- which is also really uncomfortable, when the people I'm talking to, could actually beat me up. My family has a firm stance on such matters. "Don't piss off the nice ones". The nice ones are usually nice because they have a lot of aggression pent up.

Unfortunately, these are parts of conversations that I sometimes do want to be around for. It's just that their insults and trash-talk have never gotten past high school. It's not like I have a problem with swearing!

You did recover alright eventually tho, yes? sweatdrop Hey Nuri, if it's an issue, and them being able to beat the crap out of you concerns you, I would say either avoid it, or give me an excuse to brutalize a few of them. I have some vacation time coming in a few months, and am headed far East anyway Just as soon as the passport goes thru.. Other than that, just avoid them. I've extracted myself from several of my social circles of late, mostly because I am tired of feeling offended everytime one of them gives breath to a thought.
