-My school is stupid. There's a class that I have to take next semester that's a 200 level English class. The system says I can't register because I haven't met the prerequisite, which is a 100 level English class with a C or better. This is bullshit because I'm already enrolled in a 400 level class and a 300 level class for the same semester. No one at registration can seem to figure out the problem and I NEED this stupid class to finish my minor. Apparently, I'm not the only one having this problem.

-I've started a blog, which is more or less Random Musings: The Series.

-Mass Effect 2 may very well be the most amazing space opera ever.

-Has anyone here ever gone to a music festival just to see a single band play? There's a tour coming to town in about a month with Kittie and their playing with a bunch of acts that I couldn't care less about. They aren't headlining the show so their set might not be that long, but I've already missed them the last two times they came around and I don't want to make this number three. Still, I'm wondering if it'll be worth it.

-My 18 year old cousin is on the cusp of getting her driver's license. The streets are going to run red.

-I've been told that I'm "hard to get to get to know" because I don't talk much. I don't understand the merit behind talking when I have nothing particularly important or meaningful to say. Talking for the sake of talking is way worse than not saying anything at all. Am I wrong?

-I might actually wear a costume for Halloween this year and my top two choices are both GI Joe characters: Firefly or Beachhead. Thoughts?

What I've played of it, I cannot help but agree with you. I only worry about the character depth, as the first isn't spectacularly deep, just deeper than any other RPG on the market at the time.

As for talking, sometimes things you don't think are meaningful can be the most meaningful thing to another person.

I don't know anything about Mass Effect 2, but it does make me cry that I have to agree about the lack of indepth rpgs currently. crying

Prereqs have their place, and then other times it seems they are conjured up by sadistic wizards of academia who wish to torment innocent students otherwise on the verge of completion.

How much longer do you have to go? I know you and I have been in college for about the same amount of time- so for your sake I'm hoping the finish line is getting closer for you. Otherwise I will start the Save the Headhunter foundation or at least an operation called Saving Private Ryan.

I'm not sure how your communication style in person compares to your online style- but you definitely have mastered the saying things perfect on this medium. Your posts almost always have an element that explains a little bit about yourself as well as a way in which other people can relate.

That's really the foundation of good communication- sharing and encouraging others to share. Quantity is virtually irrelevant.

oh yes- and my own random musings-

1. I made a valid fix on my car with duct tape, took an insane risk (driving 150+ miles with the cover from the bottom of the car being duct-taped in place so it couldn't drag), and had it pay off. At the time it was 10pm on Easter Sunday, so I couldn't get my hands on the proper tools to remove the half of the bolts that were keeping the plastic cover on-- but I couldn't exactly get under my car [or had the tools to] get the cover back on. A roll of cheap duct tape I bought from a gas station in the middle of no where held. The next day I took my car to the shop- the piece was still intact so I only paid $16 versus the insane amount it would have cost to replace the piece had it dragged too long.

2. I flicked off a classmate for being a jerk the other day and then proceeded to ignore him- it worked. They may just think I'm irrationally crazy and irate- but yours truly is officially being left alone by the MBA majors. This is a wonderful revelation- it's like when you discovered as a kid that the ghosts in the Mario games don't chase you if you look at them.

3. Been helping my boyfriend's mother move. This has me drained. Waking up early in the morning doesn't jive with my poor bedtime habits.

4. A little discouraged on the job front- I was excited for an interview I was scheduled to have on Monday (thus the reason I needed to drive back into town at risk of auto damage)- only to arrive there and be told they filled all the positions. I miss the days when having an interview meant you had a strong chance of snagging a job. I have a great education, I'm hard working, creative, and amiable when I'm getting paid for it, but I feel like as a result of a few bad former managers people don't want to hire me. My work history is a lamentable mess but there's no way to fix it until I get a break. confused

- The Fall 2010 semester should be the final act. We'll see.

- In person, I tend not to say much unless I know the people I'm with very well. I'll admit that with new folks, getting me to say anything is tantamount to pulling teeth but I've never really been one to go too much in depth about myself.

-Yikes. How did the piece come off in the first place?

-I understand your dislike for early mornings. I hate it when I have to be up at 4 in the morning some days to get ready for work. Usually, I don't go bed any earlier than 2. Morning is overrated.

-Ugh, don't get me started on the shady dealings of these hiring companies. I did a resume carpet bombing the other day and heard back from an HR guy for a job that sounded like it could be a good prospect. I traded several emails with him when it occured to me that, at no point, did he say what the name of the company was. I asked him, but haven't heard back since. A friend of mine had an interview for a job the other day. He said that it went well and they told him to call back about an hour after he had left the place. When he called back, they effectively gave him the finger and told him they went with another applicant.

The junk/salvage yard trip was a success! We found the bracket we were after and another piece that is very hard to find. Thought we had found a trim for one car and later found out it wasn't an exact match. Anyway, all that only came to (drumroll please) US$29.96! mrgreen That was an awesome deal considering we were so afraid that the brackets would cost us around $20-40 and the trim would cost us about the same. Daddy must've been lookin' out for us today!

I believe we also got slightly sunburnt. I got it on my lower arms (not too far up, maybe about 3-4 inches up maybe slightly more) and Steven got it around his neck. All in all though, it was a great run and I was plesantly surprised!

-I'm not 100% sure what happened to cause the piece to fall off but it's most likely a result of debris in the roads, poor road conditions, and the wind from the other day. Like a little over a week ago there was a #$%@)ing Christmas tree in the road! I didn't see it till the guy in front of me swerved at the last minute causing me to swerve at the last minute. I live in a town that comes from two primary population demographics: stupid inbred hicks and stupid college students. Also in this wretched town the concept of repairing pot-holes is---- ugh. They filled one pot-hole near my apartment with loose gravel- a day later the gravel was everywhere and the hole was back to normal. So I'm sure one of the many obstacles I was driving over, around, or on while navigating the streets that make the classic video game "Paperboy" jealous, caused half of the bolts to come out of my car's underside. Then last Sunday add powerful winds and me driving 70 mph on the highway and... voila, piece falling off stare

-And yes, I feel like some places schedule interviews as a formality even though the position is filled. Such a waste of everyone's time.

Spent most of my morning cleaning the alternator brackets we found at the junk/salvage yard on Friday. 3nodding Now, I'm not sure what I'll be spending the rest of the day doing. I'd like to go for a walk around the mall or neighborhood since it's such a nice day over here. Well, I suppose I'll just have to wait and see. (By the way, still cleaning the brackets.)

Good luck- I hope you got a chance to go for a walk. I'm figuring your neighborhood is probably as lovely as mine about now as you live only a few hours away from me. ^_^ yay spring!

So, initial math hammering and a rough draft, and my RPG will be ready for beta readers, editing, and templating for alpha release!

After that, it's playtesting, assessing play test data, rewriting the rules, beta readers, editing, and rereleasing for Alpha MK II.

If that run is good, I move into my beta phase, in which I bend the basic rules to a far more flavored bend, begin making setting specific rules, and then beta reading, editing, templating, and Beta release.

Follow with a Beta MK II. When that's all said and done, it's on to writing fluff, finding artists, paying artists, beta reading, editing, beta reading, editing, setting a release date, licencing One Book Shelf, continue editing, then template the final release, and cheer my victory as a Game Developer.

One month down, so much more to go.
