I hate you people for the Game. I seriously thought this place would be safe from the phenomena. xD Mostly because I keep losing it.

I don't like my Intro to Environmental Studies professor. Our prof is really bad with technology, yet he insists on using i-clicker quizzes. LET US SEE THE ANSWERS DAMNIT!

What every fluffy want's from Sanity Clause

You can't fool me, there is no Sanity Clause xp

Past few days have been interesting. My Windows XP install got corrupted again, so I spent all night fixing it. Then today at work, the person who was supposed to relieve me from my shift never showed up, so I ended up staying an hour and a half later. During this time, one customer didn't get the idea that I was talking to another worker about someone on the phone wanting a costume, so she was getting impatient. When she finally payed, she gave me a 10 dollar bill (which was later verified by management) for a 2 dollar purchace. After I gave her change, and closed the register, she started insisting that she gave me a 20, and started demanding that I give her correct change.

When I had to call a manager to confirm I gave her correct change (which involves counting all the money in my drawer, and cross checking it with store records), she got even more annoyed, and decided thats when its ok to tell me how to do my job rolleyes . When the manager told her that she did give me a 10, she walked away without any apology, she just said that she'd "straighten it out at home".

It should be 100% legal and encouraged to punch bitches like that square in the face.

But it wouldn't be retail without sandy customers, would it?

Would have been faster to install Ubuntu.
Furthermore, if you're using a 64 bit processor, with XP you're only using a 32 bit processor. All the other bits on your processor are just 0s
If you're using a dual core processor, you're using a single core processor. Windows just ignores the second one.
If you're using a dual core 64 bit processor, that's right, you're only using a quarter of your processor.
Also, the RAM requirements, CPU footprint and graphics card footprint are much lower for Ubuntu.
Meaning.
With Ubuntu, you'll have a faster, safer more efficient computer.

I remember having to do that in McDonalds.
Worse, I had to do it no matter how much (or little) the customer claimed they were out by.
Had to do it for five p one day.

The customer's always a right pain in the arse.

Ubuntu FTW

I got my current lappy back in January. It came with Vista. It was the worst thing ever to happen to a computer. Upgraded to XP a few months ago. Yes that's right, it was an upgrade.
Just this evening I started a trial of Ubuntu and IT ROCKS!
As soon as I can back up my hard drive I'll be installing it as my only OS
Three hours using it and I'm sold... perhaps I'm an easy sell? cĂșthepimp razz
Yay for getting rid of Microsoft without the need to buy a mac!

Believe me, I've been barking up the Linux tree for a while, and plan to install Ubuntu when I can (hopefully making it to Slackware or Gentoo one day). Problem is I'm a big PC Gamer, so permanently moving to Linux isn't a very viable option for me. Even if there is WINE and Linux ports, I'll always have things like Orbiter that have been known to cause problems in Linux.

At least I'll be getting a new hard drive. Since half the stuff on that drive is complete crap anyway, I'll have space to dual boot (although I really wonder how good it'll be without an internet connection). Any idea if Ubuntu does Widescreen? My monitor's native resolution is 1440x900 confused

Indeed. I'll never forget her telling me to have money up on the keyboard when I count change so I know what people gave me.

1) I type into the register what money is in my hand so I know what change to give, and further, know what people gave me.
2) I dont give a s**t if thats how you do it in a bank.
3) I recognize a frakking 10 when I see it. scream
