The Blood Sin didn't hurt too bad after it was finished - most of the pain from the crossbars was gone by the time he reached my neck. Taking off the Saran Wrap hurt like hell, and so did washing it.

Kugyou barely hurt at all - it hurt less than some sunburns I've had. Barely stung when I washed and A&D'd it.

As far as getting Kanji goes, it can be a risky proposition if you have little knowledge of the language. I researched which Kanji I wanted before going into the shop, made sure the stencil was put on the right way, etc. Thinking about maybe getting a red outline done on the Kanji - also around the hiragana "no" when I get it added. The "hi" Kanji will be done in red with a black outline.

Ah, the smell of freshly-applied A&D...which usually gets all over the fabric of your shirt and hair withing five minutes of application. Good times, good times.

Both designs are beautiful (I'm particularly partial to The Blood Sin). Seeing them really has me itching for my next one. If time permits (and my wallet), maybe I'll get one done when I'm in Seattle. ninja

EDIT: Congrats on the promotion, Reagun!

reagun ban

Today I decided I would grab the bull by the horns in work and ask for a promotion... ...The cloud in this instance didn't have a silver lining as much as a pure seam of the stuff.

Fortune favors the bold and all that prosaic stuff. Really, congratulations!

It's a lot of hard work but it comes with a nice pay rise.
if the work isn't hard, is it at all rewarding?

congrats, reagun!

There is hard work, it has always been rewarding, nothing quite like getting a program to work from scratch.

Italian keyboards have no apostrophes! Aargh!

Just dropping in to say hi folks!

Thanks for the good wishes, Tea. I am having a fantastic time here. It is very very very hot and sunny but the masterclass and ice cream are good so I am happy. The flute "master" is so inspiring.

Wing, congratulations on your promotion. Im sorry to hear you didnt get the one out near you, I know you really wanted it. But the competition was stiff and even if they didnt get the picture, we will still always know you were better than the rest of them. Cuz youre just great. 3nodding And being all managery will be very good experience.

Anyone wishing to pass me some good vibes to win a court case against a scummy land lord is welcome to do so.

Ew. QuantumPresbyterian and I had one of those once -- he was an aspiring slumlord. We were so glad to escape that I didn't even contact him for rent receipts.

Oh? So you know Roman Tomsinski?

Anyway- Olympia had a major earthquake a number of years back. My little studio was shabby before- but after the earthquake, it wasn't even weather tight. He is trying to sue me to fix the earthquake damage.

And for some reason I get the image of him claiming "She called her gods down and Sleipnir got into the mead and started dancing and that's why we had the earthquake!"

I'm sending my "ethical lawyer" vibes your way, BTW.

Pish. Sleipnir nor any of the AEsir or Vanir are counted amongst my gods.

Although from time to time I am tempted to blame a Thorsgodhi who was really screwing the pooch for the earthquake.

Meh - that's irrelevant when you're talking about all those pegan faiths! (ducks thrown objects)

Bestiality + sex magic = earthquake?
