I'm looking for some sort of motivation to start spring cleaning my room. Anyone have anything to say that might motivate me to start cleaning? (and I obviously don't need to start until tomorrow, but need some sort of motivation)

Dump everything into a giant pile on the floor. Seriously, it forces you to get the job done (unless you like a giant pile of stuff on the floor).

Works for me anyway. xD

Manda's musing du jour:

I'm such a geek I've tried explaining to my boyfriend that if he and I ever get married the walking out song should not be the star wars main theme...

rather the throne room version of the theme from episode IV as it has more oomph and grandeur- a great song for such an awesome occasion.

(Added benefit, it has musical similarities to the wedding march, giving at least a person or two a moment of confusion biggrin )

I love geeks who understand how to bend their multiple geekdoms to better benefit. This is an awesome idea.

I have just now come to the realization that I have way too many clothes and most of which I will probably never wear! sweatdrop

Well, I know where most of this is going. 3nodding Turnstyles (the local Catholic Charities thrift shop just up the street)! blaugh heart

Someone (or should I say a bunch of people) will benefit greatly from all of my old, some unworn, forgotten about, and outgrown (or better yet, become too large now) clothing and other things (such as posters and books). mrgreen

wahmbulance Update on the cleaning of my room: wahmbulance
I just went through all the clothing in my largest set of drawers and on the floor in front of my closet (and my closet floor)! Tomorrow, I'll tackle the top rack of my closet and the area by my door. If I still feel eager and there's still time, I'll work on the area by my window and the shelves (and drawers) over there. I doubt I'll get THAT eager, though; but it's coming along nicely! I WILL DEFINITELY post before and after pictures for everyone. mrgreen

Well, I guess we're going to go to Easter Sunday Mass; none of us really felt all to eager staying up to about midnight and then trying to drive home again. It's a great Mass, but way too long! sweatdrop Anyway, other than that things seem to be going along great with my bedroom and all. 3nodding I'm finding lots of buried, long-forgotten-about, treasures. I should be done by the end of next week or early the following week.

On a side note, I hope you've all been enjoying my symbolic avatars because after Monday I'll be going back to normal old me again (until Ascension and Pentecost that is)! mrgreen

@ Bakura: May I ask how long Easter Sunday Mass is? When does it begin?

@ Harmony: Congratulations! I'm still fighting to fit into my old clothes, lol. xP But I'm getting there. heart

Easter Sunday Mass typically runs, at my parish anyway, about an hour and a half. 3nodding Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil usually lasts 2-3 hours at best. 3nodding (That does NOT include how much time ahead one needs to plan to find a parking place, place to sit, and all the conversing one plans to do before or afterwards. That also does NOT include the time it takes to get dressed or travel to church.)

3 hours is long? That's standard fare in the mormon church.

3nodding Yes, this is long for a Catholic Mass because a "normal" Mass runs the equivalent of an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. Also you have to take into account the Easter Vigil/Holy Saturday Mass is at night and when non-night people have troubles staying awake. Now, I happen to be very flexible and can either be a morning OR a night person depending upon many factors (which I won't go into right now because that would detract from the subject at hand).

I just noticed Fukii also asked when does it begin. Easter Vigil/Holy Saturday Mass begins at 8:00 pm and Easter Sunday Masses are 7:30 am, 9:00 am (which is the one we attended), 11:00 am and 2:00 pm (in Spanish).

I was mostly saying for the conversation and comparison, as I find that kind of stuff interesting myself.
