You are The Lude one. You'll just have to come to terms with that.

You're boring.

Indeedly. Got a couple of those in the family. And I've got the dyscalculia to round out the 'dys' in our dysfunctional little clan. :p

Oh - and I meant to reply to you earlier: nice shirt! I have a Miskatonic U. bumper sticker across the side of my (sadly deceased) computer's case.

Odd question, but - how common is dyscalculia? And did you ever have difficulty with people taking you seriously about it because it didn't manifest as the more common form of dyslexia?

I know that dyscalculia is harder to diagnose. While my optometrist had noticed the dyslexia early on, most of my teachers didn't even consider dyscalculia for a couple years after that.

I didn't get a bumper sticker for my car- instead I got the Miskotonic U Student Parking pass.

Significantly harder. People forget that dyslexia is a spectrum, so many don't realize that disorders such as dyscalculia exist. My roommate had a lot of difficulty with her teachers, especially math, because she reads so well. They wouldn't even consider the possibility.

I don't know. My gut reaction is no, as the Dys-language root is based on external over internal constructs- but I do not know enough about either to firmly assert one way or another.

I speak aspergers due to family and friends. I believe such would be similar to autistic.

Sounds like the difference between Classical and Church Latin. Different enough to drive you bonkers.

(my brother and I once each read a passage aloud; then claimed that the other was pronouncing everything WRONG)

Huh?

Hey Blue? We getting together this weekend or next one?

Both are out. I had to work today, and Isaac's camping with his family this weekend while I clean house.

Next weekend is PAX. ninja

So...maybe the next?

Congratulations on your new ink and game time, BlueRose. surprised

Thanks. But the game...it was love until I finished the first dungeon. The gameplay is so broken after that--it practically cancels out all the good that the game has. I'm considering returning it. sad

How's everything treating you--and, more importantly, when will you visit WA again? heart
