Well, as far as that eBay item was concerned I learned I was supposed to report to eBay. I finally contacted a Gaia mod, but it was too late because the item had ended on eBay. The mod told me, that the next time I see something like that to report it to eBay because it's aganist their ToS as well. 3nodding Thanks again for all your help! mrgreen You guys (and gals) are awesome!

A thought from earlier, but a thought none the less, it is an interesting thing obtaining an editor does to a writer. Going from writing for the love to something that you KNOW will be read, and to get to that point, your editor must approve. It is a strange feeling, and one that spurs you to best yourself each time you finish a work. Your work is on your mind more often, and more pressing. And then, after a submission, and you await that dreaded red pen, a memory from the past, the trepidation of what must you change this time? And then it returns, and there, in read, are two simple edits, not even full sentences, and the feeling of accomplishment at knowing that your ideas were all but undiluted for the world.

This is a feeling I wouldn't trade for the world.

That's more something for the congratulations thread.... so I'll say it. CONGRATS FOX!!

You deserve some success. I've always thought your talent for writing far overshadows many.

My cynical side is quite refreshed with the fact that next to no one bothered me about my birthday yesterday. Never been a holiday person.

Also went to see Alice in Wonderland and was pretty pleased with the movie. Tim Burton has reclaimed a little bit of my respect. Can't say it was the best movie I've seen recently. But it wasn't a disappointment.

I still feel bad I forgot your birthday.

Coming soon to a guild near you: your captain.

I'm in the final two weeks of two nasty classes. Next week I have finals Monday and Tuesday. Then hopefully you will see more of this lurking excuse of a captain.

Hope your birthday was a happy one Celesti.

Good luck on finals Antonia.

Wish me luck on my job interview tomorrow. I really need this job. Working part time for my Dad is NOT going to cut it now that my student loans are expecting payments. Two part time jobs are better than none.

Just retail, but it's for the disney store so it should be fun if I can get it. And with trying to pay back my student loans... any money is welcome.

With such a busy day now almost over, I'm wondering if I will actually be able to sleep or if I will still be so wound up that sleep will be almost impossible to catch. sweatdrop I am also hoping to not see my blood sugar either plumet or go sky high! xd And I quote one of my favorite songs "Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated?!" confused

Firstly, sorry for the double post. Secondly, I have finally decided to part ways with a lot of my "junk" and hopefully someone else will be interested in it. mrgreen

So anyone intrested in the following (for real life money and actual "stuff"): Yu-Gi-Oh! posters and magazines, Shaman King mangas, InuYasha mangas, and Shonen Jumps? I'm selling them at cost or half price depending on their condition.

Damn, none of the mangas I actually read, I still need 9-12 of Death Note, and like, 10-2X of Hikaru no Go.

I'll have to pass- they sound awesome, but I fear that until I get a nice solid job Manga is at the lowest priority. sweatdrop

I really need to start writing again. It's been years since I've seriously written anything outside of research papers and the like, and I have to wonder why I stopped doing it in the first place. It was a good outlet and I've got plenty of ideas. Maybe I'll try something later this weekend, after I've worked myself out of this back-from-Spring-Break rut.

I might be more motivated to attempt writing if I had a little more direction with a few of the story ideas I'm most interested in. Or I could just start out with some fanfics as a warm-up. Only thing is, all of my fanfic ideas are ridiculous. Like, Cowboy Bebop vs. Freddy Krueger. Not ridiculous enough for you? At some point the CB team get help from the Ghostbusters. I'm not even kidding.

I think you answered your own question. There is something about writing research papers and doing homework that suffocates the ability to write. You spend so much time writing down words that as fact based as you can get them, as scientific and as professional as possible. You agonize over structure and taking out any fiber of a pulse in the paper- or you agonize over adding a pulse to make it semi-interesting but not TOO interesting as it could be construed as un-academic.

Then are you really going to write in your spare time? Nope, because you forgot that writing could be fun. You forgot that it's ok to embellish and use poetry, to focus on the way words work together instead of a weaving a coherent collection of dry facts. You spend so much time having topics picked for you (or having a narrow range of topics) that you forget how to frolic after whatever topic your heart desires.

You're painting white walls in a shade of beige with standard rollers, and that's all you ever do. Then someone hands you a pallet of all the colors of the rainbow and a bucket full of all sorts of brushes, sponges, and rollers- and for thirty seconds you're stunned by the sudden and previously incomprehensible concept of possibility.

At least that's how I view "academia-itis" a degenerative condition of brain melting that ensues the further you drive into post-secondary education.

It's no wonder you're writing about Spike and Faye taking on Freddy and needing Ray to step in- I mean A. Freddy is a Ghost (thus the ghostbusters) and probably has a sizable bounty on his head from killing lots of kids (thus bounty hunters like the bebop crew are after him) and B. the more you try to be logical and contained the more you need to be illogical and break all of the rules. Also, such ideas are either made of horrid fail or amazing win. May the win be with you.

So yeah... um, that was a wall of text with a lot of opinionated rambling. Can you tell my finance final is today and I'm about ready to burst with all this mind sludgering math. And sludgering is now an official word in this guild- I'm the captain and I can appoint new words to the Guild lexicon.

-Pauses-

And yes, if this brain fury of mine keeps up Hank will be returning to fulfill his vital role as co-founder and vice captain by taking me out back and putting me down old yeller style.
