Random musing for the day: I find it kind of funny how my brother makes fun of me for buying things just because I loved them as a kid, such as the DVD boxsets of the entire She'ra: Princess of Power series, and yet now, while he's salivating over the old Nintendo Entertainment System, he can't see that he's doing the very same thing. I'll be buying him a refurbished NES with all three Super Mario games for his birthday (this upcoming Saturday), but I won't be giving it to him immediately. He will be made to suffer long after he admits his guilt, for that is what older sisters do and something else which I still enjoy from my childhood. Only that costs me nothing. It's like something from one of those "priceless mastercard" commercials. (:
I heart She-Ra and can fully relate on the older sister bit. 3nodding I am older than my brother and sometimes still enjoy tormenting him. wink But mostly we're on wonderful terms and only tease to have fun, not to spite the other or make the other REALLY angry. I envy you for having all the box sets of She-Ra; I stopped after just getting the Secret of the Sword DVD (still looking for the original soundtrack and books from that Kid Stuff series; I miss those books -- I used to have them, but I can't find them anywhere)!

As soon as I found out they were releasing the series, I couldn't help myself. xD She-ra was definitely one of my favorite cartoons growing up, right along with Jem and the Holograms, Transformers, and G.I. Joe.

I never had any of the She-ra toys or books, but I did have a lunchbox and a Halloween costume. xD

Yeah, my brother and I always give each other a hard time, but it's all in good fun. I plan on putting a sparkly pink Care Bear tattoo on him in his sleep the night before his birthday. A temporary one, of course, but he's not going to be able to wash it off for about a week. >D

I'm back! I'm recovering from this weekend- I slipped in a parking lot and landed flat on my back and banged my skull against the ground. I've been extremely sore ever since.

On the topic of nostalgia- I own a SNES myself, it's my baby. I would like an NES, particularly one with duck hunt and the duck hunt gun. I don't know what it is about that game- but I love it.

Also I recently watched a couple episodes of the original Transformers- I had found it as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend back in November. It was neat to be able to watch it again but sometimes it's hard to watch things you loved as a kid as an adult and not be able to see it through the same eyes.

Random musing today has to do with my avatar/me. 3nodding Today's my half birthday, not that I really celebrate it any more but I couldn't resist the urge to give my avatar a cupcake and confetti. mrgreen Anyway, I will probably keep this avatar (minus the mood bubbles, confetti, and cupcake the rest of this week -- with the exception of going to bed in which I will change her into her pj's wink ). blaugh

@Antonia: I'm sorry to hear you fell down and hurt your head. It's no fun falling down on ice. sad I know, I've fallen down at least twice this winter and if it hadn't been for my fluffy/cushy hat I was wearing I'd probably have been seriously injured. rolleyes Thanks for fluffy, winter hats! xd

Yeah, things are always cheesier and cheaper than you remember them being. xD That's the downside to nostalgia, but it's all good.

On that note, ever find yourself suddenly liking something that you've previously hated? Or vice versa? I discovered the other day that I now enjoy cheese in my omelettes. I used to hate it with a passion, but now it's my new favorite thing. On the other hand, I can't really stomach pop-tarts anymore. I used to love them as a kid, but now they're just "bleh".

It's happened to me a couple of times. My tastes are changing, it's weird. The downfall of poptarts is a sad affair. Although I still buy them from time to time, now they seem to taste more like sugar sandwiched between two slices of bland breaded product than the glorious rulers of flavor that I had once known them as.

I agree! I discovered that ever since I became diabetic I've hated soda pop and a lot of candy that I used to love as a kid. I also find myself liking creamed corn and I really hated that stuff as a kid.

Man I missed it! BTW- I'm tempted to load up my tank and try to make money off of people grabbing it- I can't afford anything awesome like Dolphins, any recommendations?

I can't either at the current time, not when they're 200k+ for each one...Check the different mini monsters actully. They don't live quite as long, but almost all of them are higher trigger fish. Plus the bulk of them are pretty cheap.

I stand a little corrected. O.o It seems they've climbed a bit since I last checked the buggers. (couple months ago most weren't over 30k...)But I'll pose this offer. If anyone in the guild wishs to start building tanks for a small bg thread, I'll be willing to donate and match any donations to help our members who don't have the time to quest for gold for fishies.

I have just recently discovered my local card shop (located 50 miles away.) Can order in boosters for The Spoils. Will soon attempt to acquire some decks and start converting followers.

Lawnsharks are great. They're cheaper in the short-run, more expensive in the long-run, but one tankful will be able to pay for a full dolphin tank by the time your last one dies (as long as you babysit it enough -- starting out, you'll have to watch your glow times since you're not a part of enough recycled threads to have others catch them for you. You'll need to max out at least 6 glows per day to have enough for a full dolphin tank by a month's time). The only reason why I don't have a full dolphin tank by now is because I keep spending my gold on RIG items. xP

Outlaw Wolves are good, too, but they cost just as much as lawnsharks do.

On the note of booty grab, I have some favorite recycled threads. When I go through them, I make about 40-70K per hour. Links:

By far my favorite is GET RICH AND FAST II. The first 50 pages are nothing but high trigger, high pay-out tanks, and the OP has it set up as low lag. I don't normally deviate from it, but there are slow times from time-to-time or sometimes it is being bombarded by other users so that every tank I find glowing is full before I get to play it (doesn't happen very often, but it does happen). In that case, I move on to the next couple of threads.

Dolphinmania!

Dolphinarium

And I visit GOT GRUNNIES? whenever I want to try my luck at a pink giftbox.
