[Several Octopi]

Swiftsoul padded out of he den. She took slow, tired steps. Suddenly, she llooked very old. I mean, she was old, but she was always so full of energy.

"She suffered a major injury to her spinal cord. She'll live, thank starclan, but the spine is connected to many things. She could suffer from paralysis. She may never be able to walk again. Although, she may only loose one or two of her legs, and, if starclan will it, maybe none at all. We'll have to see. I have no way of knowing until she wakes."

She sat down with a tired sigh. She was so old you could see her bones through her fur.

Duskpaw was relieved to hear that she would live but still worried for the possible damages. She prayed to StarClan that Sprintsong would be okay and then she yawned and tiredness and exuastion flooded through her it had been a long day.

Firekit looked at Swiftsoul. She never noticed before how tired the old medicine cat was. She purred reassuringly and nuzzled her lightly. There was nothing she could say, and she knew that. "Do you need help with anything, Swiftsoul?" Firekit was worried.

Duskpaw looked around the clearing she could hardly remember what the real FireClan camp looked like.

"Thank you, firekit, but I think I'm done here. I'll just sit and wait for Sprintsong to wake up. I'd be thankful for the company, though." She smiled.

Creamkit padded over to Duskpaw. "Hey, did I do something wrong?"

"Thank you, firekit, but I think I'm done here. I'll just sit and wait for Sprintsong to wake up. I'd be thankful for the company, though." She smiled.

Firekit nodded. She curled up next to Swiftsoul, her bright eyes beginning to close. She blinked rapidly, trying to stay awake, but it was no use. It had been a tiring day. Giving in to sleep, she closed her eyes, snuggling close to Swiftsoul.

Sprintsong twitched, but then regretted that she moved, for she felt a claw sharp pain running up and down her spine. She opened her eye's and looked around. "Hello?" Sprintsong mewed in a raspy voice.

Firekit heard Sprintsong's voice. "Hey," she said softly, blinking to clear the fog of sleep from her mind, "you're in Swiftsoul's den." Firekit stood up, looking around. Now where was Swiftsoul?

Creamkit padded over to Duskpaw. "Hey, did I do something wrong?"

"No, Creamkit I'm just worried about Sprintsong that's all she got hurt." meowed Duskpaw. Mouse-brained fox...  

[Akiko-infinity]

Firepaw frowned. Maybe Swiftsoul had gotten hungry. "Hang on Sprintsong, I'll see if I can find her." She padded out of the den and looked around. Duskpaw was nearby...shouldn't he be a warrior soon? She gazed up at the sky, admiring Silverpelt as she often did. A strange scent wafted past her nose, one she couldn't identify. Nonetheless, it was soothing. Her eyes closed, taking in the smell. "Poppy seeds for pain..." a voice whispered softly. Firekit shook herself. Had she fallen asleep? Remembering the voice, she said, "Sprintsong's in a lot of pain. Poppy seeds help that, right?" She turned to go back to the medicine cat's den.  

[Suicidal Rain]

Sprintsong looked around, she had heard the voice too. Sprintsong twitched her ears. "What happened?" Sprintsong murmered to herself.

Firepaw padded into the den. She looked at sprintsong with sympathy. "Hey, poppy seeds are used for pain, right? Do you need some?" She sighed inwardly. Where was Swiftsoul? It was unusual for the medicine cat to just disappear like this. What if something had happened and another cat got hurt? Firepaw shook herself. There was no need to worry about things like that. She smiled at Sprintsong, waiting for the response.  

[Konekoko]

Whisperkit noticed a butterfly fluttering a few tail lengths away. She looked around as she chased after it. No cat was watching so she chased it into the forest on the edge of the clearing. As she entered, she stopped and scented the air. There was an unfamiliar scent. She forgot the butterfly and began to follow the scent around the clearing, still concealed by undergrowth, but close enough to hear the cats mewing to each other. The scent abruptly grew stronger. She looked up and saw a red tail twitching on the ground. She unsheathed her claws, and pounced on it. She suddenly found herself up in the air. She hit the ground with a thump and a red paw pinned her down. She was silent with shock as a cat's red face loomed into her view. His eyes were blue and a scar ran across the left one. He leaned down close to her, looking at her.
"Stupid mangy furball." He hissed in anger.
With that Whisperkit found her voice and she yowled in fright. Instinctively, the rouge unsheathed his claws slightly and pricked Whisperkit's belly. This time she yowled in pain. This time, her cry was heard.

Duskpaw heard some cat's yowl. She knew she would get in trouble if she left camp again but curiosity tugged at her paws. She slipped out of camp unnoticed.
