Dylan looked up at the moment Ian passed him. He felt his heart skip a beat as he saw the look Ian gave him. Biting his lip hard, he looked back down and picked up a new record.

Returning from the bathroom a few moments later, Ian made sure to pass by Dylan again, this time blowing him a kiss. Mouthing "Love you" up at him, Ian smiled. Everything was coming together, whether Dylan liked it or not.

Dylan shook his head at Ian again. I need a cigarette...then one drink.... He didn't like to drink much at parties he was working, but tonight was an exception. Setting his iPod on once more, he poured himself Jack Daniels and took it onto the back patio. Lighting up a cigarette, he blew the smoke out into the cold night air.

Ian worked his way back to Mika, whispering a "Hey beautiful" into her ear. Wrapping his arms around her waist, Ian smiled. Things were going perfect. All that Dylan had to do was admit he was in love with Ian. "So, am I to late to ask for another dance?"

Mika turned and smiled. "Yeah, sorry, Cole asked for this one." Cole pulled Mika into his arms. "Sorry man. Maybe next song." He looked down at Mika. "Where'd Dylan go?" Mika shrugged. "Probably outside for a cigarette."
Dylan took a long drink from his cup. He sighed and took a deep drag. I wish this night would just end...

Ian shrugged, "Oh well." Walking on the outside of the crowd, he found the way out. Practically prancing over to Dylan, Ian thought, Tonight, I make Dylan mine. "Hey, Dylan." Ian's plan was in play.

Dylan jumped from Ian, causing his cigarette to fall onto the ground below. "Jesus you scared me! And made me lose my cigarette..." he groaned. Taking out another one, he lit up and took a deep drag. "You enjoying the party?"

Shrugging, Ian walked closer to Dylan. "For the most part, yeah, I guess." Stuttering was never one of Ian's fine points, but it happened when he was nervous. "So, how come your not in there? You know, dancing with someone?"

Dylan fiddled with his cigarette in between his teeth. "I DJ not dance." He looked over at Ian. "What about you? I saw you grinding with my bestie."

"Cole got to her before I could ask her to dance." Which was the truth, sorta. Ian had planned on her being asked by Cole, thinking they liked each other. "Anyway, I was wondering, how would you feel about me asking her out?"

Dylan looked over the lawn and shrugged. "It's none of my business who you ask out, who you date, who you have sex with." A sarcastic grin came to his lips. "But everyone either thinks or knows you're a homosexual so..."
