Are we declaring war on all allergies, or just the ones that show up with spring and can be treated with antihistamines?

From experience, hayfever can't always be treated with antihistamines.

Antihistamines don't always work: fair enough. However, they frequently help whereas there is no treatment for a wheat allergy, other than avoiding all delicious food. There is also no time limit on this allergy.

Oh, no wasn't overriding the food allergy, that sucks major.

Just saying hayfever doesn't always stop at antihistamines. **Says with an eye that has been draining for days.**

Ohnoes! =O

I'm sure it'll be fine. Just a cold and some indigestion or something. You'll be good as new before you know it. 3nodding
Well, thank you! heart

Anyway, finally got back and found out there is something viral about my condition, but don't know what. We just know it isn't the "wonderful" swine flu or anything of that nature. My remedy/perscriptions per se are just to stay home, rest/sleep, and drink plenty of fluids. 3nodding Guess I won't be going to my afternoon class then. sweatdrop Oh well, at least I'm not behind in there...I'm mostly worried about my art class. whee And at least I'm not dying! blaugh

Bakura: Good to know it's nothing serious. Sounds like a nice remedy to me. That's how I treat most illnesses. Rest and a little honey-lemon tea (sometimes with ginger whee )

GET BETTER SOON BAKURA!!

Ooooo sign me up! I so want to wage war on allergies. Incidentally, my mother is also allergic to gluten/wheat so she subjects us all to her diet. Really some days I just crave a good old mac n cheese. My allergy problem is a bit serious too. I'm allergic to mold and anything mold related. Eating moldy food causes me to perge at an astonishing rate and get hives. Smelling mold causes asthma attacks and stuffiness (thus when the snow melts every spring I suffer), and if I get sick there is no taking penicillin for me.

my own random rant: my pet fish is dying and I don't know how to ease his pain. Ryuk is just an old beta fish with a swollen jaw... But I love him anyway. Poor little guy. I watch him float around the tank only moving when I tap on it or something. He's so lethargic!

Makes me think of my poor land hermit crabs. I watched them die... was holding one when it died of a cold. Why oh why do pets have to die?

Goodness, sorry to hear about Ryuk, how long have you had him for?

Having pets die is terrible. D= About a month ago, I lost a couple, including my favourite hen. We didn't even know what was wrong at first, just that she was sick. She went back and forth for about an hour, then I ended up holding her down during her death convulsions. o_<

Yeah, that was good for several days of bad depression. And it was around the start of my current writer's block, which refuses to fully go away. I'm getting desperate for something to spur me into action again. X_X;

For over a year. He was old when I got him though. How long are Beta fish supposed to last? I don't know....

*overs hugs*

That would royally suck. I can't even say how much.

Insanity's knocking: I wonder if we'd be able to see those odd horses that pull the carts at hogwarts now that we've seen death... albeit of animals?

Bah! It rained here all day today and its looking like tommorrow is going to be a repeat performance. I hate rain.

Slayer, on the other hand, is the awesome. I forgot how great South of Heaven was.

A quick update as to my nail biting and such. I did just as I said I would. They finally grew back long enough so they don't hurt when I type or anything like that, so I grabbed a bottle of pink nail polish (that Mom and I bought about two weeks ago) and painted them while I waited for her to get out of therapy. I'm not normally a fan of pink, but this pink and having pink on my nails just looks so pretty. It also has helped, as I said it would, deter me from picking on them and biting them. 3nodding I will have to buy different shades of pink and other neutrals to keep myself from biting them. That seems to work. blaugh

You should paint your nails black, yellow and bright red. Then instinct will kick in and tell you those nails are poisonous! Hence you'll no longer want to eat them. XD
