You're all ridiculously attractive, by the way, and making me wish I had photos to post. >.>

I'm ticked that we don't get the series four Doctor Who finale until August.

And the TARDIS crew could take them all on. Actually, the Doctor could take them on alone. With just his sonic screwdriver and whatever else was available at the scene of the fight.
Pish. Ignoring the fact that The Doctor and Dresden would look at each other after nearly having been eaten by interdimentional beasties and would shake their heads and buy each other a pint- Dresden has one edge over The Doctor- he can fight dirty, I mean really dirty when he has to.

The Doctor is too much of a Gentlemen to kick a guy in the goolies. Not Dresden.

TatteredAngel
Oh yeah, well Buffy could-- you know, I got nothing. I'm a shameless Joss Whedon fangirl and I love me some Buffy, but Dresden is pretty much a badass. But could he take Batman?
Oooooh. Hmmmm... This might be the best challenge to date. Actually, I am willing to admit that Batman could likely take Dresden- or at least slow him down. That said- it would have to be a surprise attack, because if Dresden has any time to prepare for it at all, the Bat's won't stand a chance.

I mean when we see Dresden use people's names against them- we know that the force of Batman's name is in his tone, but Bruce is still his name.

To say nothing of the fact that Batman's best bet would be to outsmart Dresden- and Dresden is pretty good- but he's no Batman in the Brains department.

However- the upshot of all this is, even if Batman beats Dresden, Dresden still wins because of the Death Curse.

Also, I've seen pictures of a bunch of y'all, and I feel like I should return the favor. Also, I just really like these pictures and want to show them off. wink

They were taken at a photo shoot to promote some books about to be published by a local author. So we were all medieval/elfy.

By the way- You people... you need to go back and study Christianity so you can get the horrible jokes I make without me having to explain myself. emo

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Do you have a better guess?

The psychological pathology of Batman is a complex and tricky thing to pin down and, for the most part, depends on which incarnation you're talking about.
Batman may well be a seperate personality or Bruce Wayne is batman's secret identity (much like Clark Kent is Superman's disguise).

The Doctor could totally outsmart Dresden, though. I mean, he's the DOCTOR, for cryin' out loud. And if he had the TARDIS crew with him, forget it, Dresden would be done for.

Actually, you're right, they'd probably just buy each other a pint.

The Doctor can't outsmart luck though. That's something that Dresden has in spades.

And- how do you know that because it's an extremely complex piece of tech- the TARDIS wouldn't just implode when it got anywhere near Dresden? I mean for goodness sakes! Murphey has to turn off her bloody desk top before Dresden enters the room. eek

Wing- you have a point. The incarnation would matter. That said- when you read the Dresden Files and it talks about the names, the assertion is that while names change in resonance, the "given" name is the root of the actual phonyms used.

Not actually true, but it's the framework we have.

We're doing superhero match ups now?

I put my money on Either Doctor Strange, or Constantine ^_^

So- a man, a woman and a teacher all walk into a small unassuming house in the Middle East and the teacher says to the man- "Dang?! Your feet smell!"

And the Man says to the Teacher "What to make something of it?!" rofl

Doctor Strange would punk Dresden.

Silly Tea, the TARDIS isn't just "an extremely complex piece of tech," it's a living being, and if Dresden hurt the TARDIS, the Doctor would destroy him. No question of it.

You know, I always feel left out of these discussions, cause my fandom of choice (besides M&R, of course, which totally is a fandom) is Stargate Atlantis. It may stink of Western Imperialism, but it also has space vampires! And Hot Guys! And fanfic that is both awesome and made of crack! And snappy banter! And Deep meaningful looks!

and exclamation points!
