Lightningpaw smiled, nodding in thanks. He was glad to feel like he did something right for once in his opinion. He removed himself off of his mentor, brushing himself off with his tail.

"So, what's next?" He asked with some excitement in his voice.

Warstorm thought for a moment "How about getting under your opponent and knocking them off their feet." Warstorm said.

Sharpclaw looked around for prey

((Way to give a summary Sharpclaw.

So far, Warstorm is looking out for Lightingpaw's training, Duskwind is out with a hunting party with Sharpclaw and Thrushpaw, but I believe they separated themselves, and Kindlestar, Dawnlight, Waterflower, Splashpaw, Midnightpaw and Badgerpaw are doing the border patrol, which is being longer than usual because they are showing the apprentices the borders.

And because I know a lot of you don't check the Gatherings thread, this here be the list of this month's Gathering:

Once more, Kindlestar looked at Splashpaw, obviously pleased with this apprentice. "We have some ground to cover, so let's speed up," she mewed, looking at Badgerpaw, who seemed to be chowing down on the remains of the rabbit that Dawnlight had caught. She turned to Splashpaw, making sure the apprentice didn't go ahead on her own, knowing that the danger was not entirely gone yet. Her yellow eyes inspected the area and sniffed, an extra precaution that may have seemed useless, but lifted her heart. It smelled of rain, and in FireClan, that was good news, as rain didn't come often.

Thrushpaw stalked silently, ready to pounce on the rabbit he found. The little creature's nose suddenly shot up, looking for him. He dashed, trying to catch it before it got away. He killed it quickly, realizing that he was lucky that it hadn't spotted him.

He buried it and looked around for some more prey, wanting to bring as much as possible back to the others.

Sharpclaw walked around the territory in search of prey to bring back to the clan.

"Okay!" Splashpaw mewed as she flicked her white tail at Badgerpaw.
"Come on! Or we'll never get to see the border at this rate!" she joked, dashing forward, only stopping to wait for the patrol.

Thorngaze's ears pricked at the sound of rabbit, his jaws were full of marigold, but a little hunting couldn't hurt anything. The tom laid his herbs to the moor, to where it couldn't be tramped on. The medicine cat dashes after the rabbit, commanding his lithe muscles. He leaped after it, capturing the plump creature under his paws. It made no sound as it had expected to die, but he bit into the neck anyway.

Sending a quick prayer to StarClan, the medicine cat collected his herbs and prey, then ran across the moor to where FireClan's camp had settled in.

"Okay, I'll try." Lightningpaw replied, his voice a bit shaky as he felt unsure of how he would execute his move.

Lightningpaw began to dash toward Warstorm, and then he as he was running, he threw himself against the ground, beginning to slide toward his mentor. He then flipped himself on his back, starting to scratch at his mentor's underbelly.

Warstorm jumpped off "Nicely done Lightningpaw," Warstorm praised his apprentice.

Sharpclaw smelled the air for any prey she could catch

Lightningpaw was beginning to pant slowly, catching his breath. He had felt somewhat accomplished, glad he was able to feel as if he could protect himself somewhat in battle now.

"Okay...well, maybe you can teach me how to dodge some of an enemy's attacks?"

Warstorm nodded "Watch your enemy and see if you can read their movements by focusing on where they shift their weight,"

Once Badgerpaw had finished his meal, Kindlestar led the way to the PebbleClan border. The smell of rain was still heavy on the air, and Kindlestar wanted to get back to camp as soon as possible, so she kept a brisk pace, her eyes and ears alert for anything out of place. As they had kept to the border, the smell of PebbleClan soon filled her nostrils. The smell of dry stones and dust, that is what PebbleClan smelled like to the leader of FireClan, a smell she had never forgotten since Duskwind had taken her in her first border patrol all of those moons ago, back in the war of PebbleClan and FireClan, that dated to before she had been born. Turning around, she saw the large patrol following, and a purr escaped her.

If a PebbleClan patrol were to see us, they would think we are leading an attack.

"Do you feel the difference in scents?" she called out to the apprentices, her tail flicking as she signaled to where the land changed from WoodClan to PebbleClan territory.
