Mintkit sat with her tail wrapped around her paws.
She watched the whole clan busily running around, gathering hunting patrols and apprentices helping warriors.
I can't wait! I'm going to be an apprentice soon!
The gray kitten leaped in the air happily and caught a leaf with her paw. When Mintkit reached the ground she examined the torn leaf. It wasn't a leaf. It was a petal. the gray kitten looked at the petal.
When did petals start to float around camp?

Whisperheart padded into the Warrior's Den, her heart heavy and her eyes downcast. She stopped just at the entrance and looked around. She had never slept in this den before. She noticed Dawnlight and padded to him. She settled down next to him. "It wasn't your fault, you know."

Badgerkit jumped at Thorngaze's voice "ah y-yes!! Coming!!" Badgerkit stumbled over to Thorngaze, opening his mouth with the mushed up delights inside.

Emptykit held back a sneeze. "Blasted wind" Emptykit grumbled spitting the mush onto a nearby leaf. She looked carefully around her oddly enough though i got the feeling someone was just staring at me . .

(i'm talking about Dawnlight, so don't freak out people >.<)

((Hehe, I got it. xd By the way, if Thrushpaw hasn't decided on a name by the time I make the ceremony, would you prefer another mentor, or would you still rather wait?))

Dawnlight could feel movement around him, and he turned back a second only to see the newest warrior, Whisperheart, talking to him. He snorted, then turned his back to her again, curling himself up to a ball despite there being no cool breeze. "You don't have to cheer me up..." he growled, his ears flat on his head, his mind taking in what she had said as a lie to make him feel better.

Warstorm ran over to Kindlestar "Yes, is something wrong?" Warstorm asked his leader

Sharpclaw looked around the camp

Kindlestar blinked. More than I care to admit was the thought that crossed her mind. She nodded, then looked at the young warrior, her tail giving an uneasy twitch as she sat down on the sandy floor of the camp. "At the moment, I believe we are safe, but one can never be too cautious. The Clan was attacked by a band of rogues that lived in PebbleClan and were causing trouble for them. It was clear that their ambitions do not lie with PebbleClan alone, but with the whole forest," she sighed, not pleased with the events that had transpired.

"What I wish to know is, was there anything out of the ordinary while you guys were gone? Any evidence that these rogues have been in FireClan territory lately?" she asked, curious as she had seen Warstorm enter with the apprentices after her band of battle exhausted warriors had arrived.

Whisperheart blinked at him. "I wasn't trying to. You aren't supposed to be happy or anything. Your clanmate just died. I just thought you should know it wasn't your fault he died. It was his own actions, so you shouldn't blame yourself. It was an honourable death, though I know that doesn't make up for it. He was a good cat, and he knew what the possible consequences of his actions were, and yet he still chose to do them. He honoured you in doing so."

Warstorm tilted his head in thought "Nothing seemed wrong when we were out,"

Sharpclaw watched her clanmates then grabed a mouse from the pile

Dawnlight snorted and curled up tighter, not in the mood to continue a useless conversation any longer. Of course he knew his Clanmate's death had not been useless. However, the fact that this cat felt the like if she needed to explain it irritated him. Rookies... they think they are on top of the world the second they leave the apprentice den. His tail gave a flick of annoyance, and he made a point of yawning loudly before closing his eyes to sleep.

"Creamtail trained you well... you are just as annoying as she is," was all he said, his eyes already closed as he shifted slightly to a more comfortable position.

Kindlestar sighed in relief, glad that the Clan had not been watched either during her absence. That probably meant the death of Sparrowpaw had been unauthorized by the leader of the rogues either. She nodded at Warstorm, pleased with his information. "Very well, go get rest. You deserve it," she mewed, then got up and headed towards Thorngaze, seeing he was still taking care of the injured ones.

Warstorm nodded to Kindlestar then walked over to the warriors den and crawled into his nest then went to sleep.

Sharpclaw finished then mouse and walked into the warriors den then went to sleep

(oh man i think i just grew a bigger heart for Dawnlight, imma sucker for tough guys with mussy hearts >.<)

Arrowkit sat with her tail wrapped around her paws looking down, she wasn't very social.

Okay, small thing here, I will be doing a time skip soon enough, and my question is this. Those kits waiting to have mentors, would you rather have the ceremony after the time skip or not have the scene and my next post in the time skip announce explain who each of your mentors is as though if the ceremony already passed?

And Cinderstar, if you cannot get Dawnlight to be your mentor, would you rather have another mentor, or wait a bit? Either is fine, just let me know. 3nodding ))

(hmmm, I'm fine with Badgerkit getting his ceremony whenever, but as for Emptykit, if i couldn't get Dawnlight, then my back up plan was to get her into enough trouble that her ceremony would be delayed ninja )
