Thorngaze padded up to Duskwind's side, and greeted the patrol warmly. He then remained still as the body came into view.

"PebbleClan was innocent.." he repeated under his breath. "And a warrior now walks in StarClan."
It was true that the medicine cat hated the idea of war, but it wasn't his decision to make. "Put him down." Thorngaze meowed, nodding to his brother.

Dawnlight turned his black look to the medicine cat apprentice, his view unfocused. He seemed to not have heard what Thorngaze had just said. A few moments later, he nodded, then let go of the warrior, placing him on the ground.

The tabby tom was heavily wounded. His back leg had a horrible limp in it from a deep scar, and his back was full of bites and bruises. He couldn't believe they had won, and he couldn't comprehend how he was still alive. Sleetfur had warned him to not get too cocky, but his anger got the best of him, and in a moment of carelessness, when he was to receive a finishing blow, the senior warrior took the hit for him, his throat receiving a slash that not even StarClan could have healed.

Sharpclaw walked into camp with some bad wounds and dried blood covered her orange fur. She sat down outside the warriors den and started to lick her wounds.

Duskwind's tail flopped in disbelief and sadness as she saw the weary group bring back Sleetfur's body. She padded up to her old friend. "You will be remembered for your bravery on the battlefield and for your loyalty to your clan." She had grown up with the white warrior, so she felt the same sadness in her heart when she had lost her apprentice.

(huh now i guess i really am the oldest cat in FireClan sweatdrop because Sleetfur had joined minutes before me)

Thorngaze's heart felt heavy with pain. The patrol felt so lifeless that now the white warrior was dead. This "war" shouldn't had ever happened.

"You all need treatment." Thorngaze meowed as he eyed Dawnlight. "You too Sharpclaw!" He called, spinning around. He needed to fetch the herbs for the treatment.

What do I need? Goldenrod, and marigold of course.. his eyes beginning to darken as he padded back into his den.

Kindlestar looked as Thorngaze went to look for the medicinal herbs, and her eyes darkened, turning to Duskwind. "You know... it was a good thing that we went when we did. If we hadn't, but PebbleClan cats and FireClan cats would have been caught unaware. We are going to have to bulk up in training. We need more apprentices, and more warriors as well," she sighed, sitting down as she waited. "Thrushpaw proved to be an amazing warrior today. I think it is time for him to receive his warrior name. There are also some kits in need of apprenticing..." she looked up, noticing the sun was already almost gone and the sky was getting darker. "What do you think?" she asked, turning to the tabby tom who was nearby.

Dawnlight nodded lightly, his eyes distant, and it wasn't clear whether he had heard the question or not. Kindlestar sighed, not sure of what else to say. She didn't know what it was like to lose an apprentice, but she had lost two Clan members in two days, not something that she liked, as apart of them being in her command, the leader had learned to care for each of them as if they were her own.

Emptykit stood in shock. She had been heading towards Kindlestar, but the sight of the dead warrior had stopped her. why is Sleetfur dead? Emptykit listened in on the conversation pebbleclan wasn't responsible? rogues? a battle? "w-what?" Emptykit stumbled backward a little. "this wasn't suppose to happen . " "quiet" Badgerkit had caught up to his sister, their fur mixing into a black and white swirl. "Kindlestar doesn't have the time to deal with your mental break down,"he murmured calmly "If anything this should show us what we need to expect as apprentices." Badgerkit's legs were shivering uncontrollably.
(on that note is Dawnlight open for apprenticing?)

((Firesong has to get on and tell me what name she wants for Thrushpaw, as she told me she wanted him to turn into a warrior after the battle I believe? If she doesn't connect I might give him a name myself and then change it to one of her liking, but I would rather wait for a bit. whee ))

his legs. . . there shaking . . . Emptykit looked up at Badgerkit. His face seemed frozen in a state of determination. Emptykit closed her eyes and leaned into her brother. "Alright, but only as long as your next to me like this the rest of the way" she murmured quietly.

Duskwind sighed. "Warstorm took the apprentices out to practice some battle techinques. On a lighter note, Emptykit is anxious for her apprentice ceramony. So anxious that she stormed your den." The deputy smirked at the kit's antics.

Badgerkit coughed a little in embarrassment. "L-lets go see if we can go help out with the injured." He turned and headed towards Thorngaze and crew.

Emptykit stumbled a little off balance. "H-hey!" she whined. "wait up! Badgerkit!!"

Kindlestar almost purred in amusement, despite the grave look in her eyes. It pleased her to see enthusiasm from the kits. "We shall hold a naming ceremony tonight then. I believe Fadingkit is also in age for becoming an apprentice. Fadingkit is a nice, levelheaded kit. Whisperheart would do well for her apprentice. Badgerkit needs someone with confidence, so I will be placing Blazewhisper in charge of him... As for Emptykit..." she looked towards where the kit was running, and a small twitch of her whiskers betrayed the mock worried look on her face.

Lightningpaw was starting to feel a little impatient. Wanting to know if a fight broke out or not and if Kindlestar and the other were back at camp by now. "We really should go back to camp soon..." He whispered to himself quietly.

Badgerkit and Emptykit peeked into the medicine cat den "umm . . . Thorngaze?" Badgerkit called a bit unsure of how to ask.

"What is it kits?" Thorngaze meowed as he popped out of his den with herbs in his mouth."Oh, want to help?" he added, padding to the others.
"You can help by chewing this marigold into a plup for me." he said, placing the herbs down. "If you don't mind the taste."

Fadingkit purred as she overheard Kindlestar talking.
"I can't wait to start my training!"
