[Blitz Prower]

Lightningpaw sat up as a ray from the slowly rising morning sun stung his face. He felt still tired, but rested. He looked around the apprentices' den to notice all the other apprentices fast asleep.

I'm not one to wake up at the crack of dawn...but maybe I should eat something if I'm going to be awake...he thought to himself as he slowly padded over to the fresh kill pile, grabbing a rabbit. He took big but slow bites, savoring the food so it would give him more energy.

He looked across camp to notice Dawnlight and Fadingkit awake. Well I didn't expect many people awake, but it would be nice to do something. Even a simple conversation would be nice, but today is the big day after all...even though I can't do much about it if something were to happen.

Thrushpaw blinked away the sleep, finding that the camp was already buzzing with activity. Kindlestar and Dawnlight were up, naturally. So were Lightningpaw and Fadingkit, to his surprise. He stretched, looking back at Sparrowpaw. Sparrowpaw...you went to Starclan way too soon... He shook his head, looking around. He was wondering how much longer it would be until the warriors left camp. At least I can see them off... He looked over at Dawnlight and Kindlestar, who seemed to be in an important conversation.


Firesong woke up to hear a cheerful 'good morning' from fadingkit, obviously directed at an early riser already moving about. She rose from her bed, deciding to head out and greet the morning.

Duskwind felt the warming sun on her fur, she stretched and walked out into the camp. She paid no attention to the other cats up. The black warrior walked towards Sparrowpaw, staying silent. She sighed and curled her tail tightly around her paws.  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Kindlestar blinked at Dawnlight, unsure of what he was getting at. "The only apprentice old enough to go to war is Thrushpaw, you know that," she replied, her eyebrow giving a small raise.

"Yes, but think about it. He wishes to fight. He wishes to avenge his littermate. What better motivation is that to fight? I am positive he will make it out of there alive," he responded, his eyes shining at the thought. "He wants to prove himself, to both his littermate, as well as to the Clan. I think that we can let him have this," he finished.

As soon as he finished, a tiny voice greeted him, and he looked down to see Fadingkit staring up at him and beaming. What is it with kits and me? he wondered, Duskwind's taunts of how he was a queen booming in his mind. He nodded at the kit in greeting, but turned his attention back to Kindlestar, hoping she would agree.

Thorngaze woke up to the sounds of the waking camp, surprised to hear so much.
During his travels, he woke up to no one.
He shook the moss out of his pelt, then started to groom himself;
his eyes blinking from the annoying light that began to crept in.
Without making a sound,
the tom slipped out of the den.

Whisperheart padded around the camp in the light just before dawn. She had made it through the night without falling asleep. Her ears flicked triumphantly. She stopped once again at Sparrowpaw's now cold body, and her whiskers drooped. Sparrowpaw would have made a much better warrior than I. If only it had been me instead, the Clan would have a much better chance. She shook her head to clear it of those thoughts. Well, now I will just have to work twice as hard to be the best warrior and Clanmate I can be... For Sparrowpaw.  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Kindlestar looked away and turned towards the Fire Rock. "It was already decided who would go..." she muttered, her eyes twinkling as she looked at him.

Heading towards the Fire Rock, her mind bustling with what Dawnlight had just said, she jumped on the rock and looked down at the Clan. "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey join me under the Fire Rock for a Clan meeting," she called, summoning her Clan towards her to assign the cats going to PebbleClan.

Dawnlight padded towards the warrior den and called to all who where sleeping. "Hey guys, there is a meeting right now," he called to them, then padded out, his tail flicking lightly.

Thrushpaw was already near the rock so he got closer and turned around to face it. Alright...here it is. They'll go make Pebbleclan pay for what they've done...


Firesong stood near thew back. There was no need to be clustered at the front. She already knew what to do. Be prepared...

Lightningpaw heard Kindlestar's call, he was pretty close to Fire Rock already. He knew most of the other cats were still asleep, so he felt like he might as wake them up.

He walked over to the entrance of the apprentices den, noticing everyone except Thrushpaw who was already at Fire Rock. "Hey guys, you gotta get up. Kindlestar has called a clan meeting."He then padded away, feeling wide awake for some reason.  

[Konekoko]

Looking up at Kindlestar, Whisperheart padded over and joined the cats already there. She eagerly waited for the first anouncement of her warrior-dom.
((Am I allowed to talk now?))
((Feel free to laugh at warrior-dum. I was at a loss at what to say...))

((Yes she may. I forgot to send a cat to tell her so. sweatdrop My bad there, sorry.))

As Kindlestar saw the assembled cats, she looked down at them somberly. The dark mist of predawn was clouding her view from high on the rock, but she could still make out every face. "Cats of FireClan, today, we strike back! We show PebbleClan what we are made of. During our last Gathering, only Cursedstar came, with no Clan behind her. I care not if the Clan acted alone, they will still pay. I will be taking two small bands of well balanced strengths to fight PebbleClan."

A moment of silence fell upon her as she thought of the teams that had been decided the day before and what Dawnlight had said to her just a few minutes earlier. "I will lead the first band, accompanied by Sharpclaw and by Whisperheart." She looked down at both of the warriors, making sure that they had heard her properly, and feeling sorry for Whisperheart, as the dawn of her warriorhood (yes, I say warriorhood, let me be. xd ) would be accompanied by bloodshed.

"The second band will be led by Dawnlight, and in his team he will have Sleetfur... and Thrushpaw," she finished, her voice wavering at the last moment.

Dawnlight's ears perked up as he heard Thrushpaw's name. He couldn't believe it. Kindlestar had actually listened to his advice. His jaws gaped open as he looked up at the Fire Rock, his blue eyes twinkling with excitement.

Thrushpaw's ears shot up in disbelief. Wait, what did she say? I'm going on the attack? He couldn't believe it. What had changed their minds?


Firesong wasn't really surprised. Dawnlight must have spoken out for his apprentice. She hoped that Dawnlight's faith wasn't misplaced.

Eyes wide, Whisperheart stared up at Kindlestar. She was going on her first mission! And with Kindlestar! Her whisker's quivered with excitement. She would do her best!

((I am planning on making Sleetfur a casualty in the war. He has been inactive and non-responsive to my pms. I have not updated the list in a while, but he never responded in my last pm sending spree.))

As the cats muttered beneath, Kindlestar cleared her throat to continue. "While I am gone, Duskwind will be in charge of the camp. Keep vigilant my warriors, and keep safe," she finished, then jumped off the high rock, ready to gather Sharpclaw and Whisperheart.

Dawnlight got up and went to Thrushpaw, who looked stunned beyond belief. "Ready?" he asked, Sleetfur already behind him.

Thrushpaw shook himself as Dawnlight walked up to him. "Y-yeah," he answered, "so what's the plan?" He shook himself as he spoke, standing to follow Dawnlight.
