Midnightpaw tapped his head with her tail, "Sowy for asking then." She said. Before thinking about Pebbleclan, They shouldn't have done that, they will get pay back She thought

The Clan had already started to gather, and Kindlestar felt the blood in her ears begin to boil as she wondered if she really did want to start a war. It is expected of me... and if I let PebbleClan get away with this, it will only lead to the other Clans thinking they can just attack us without a retaliation. This thought made her gaze grow strong again, and her masked face scanned her Clan, piercing each in turn.

"FireClan has been attacked at a border patrol today. Dawnlight was taking two of our older apprentices out for a small test, see how they fared, and in return, they were attacked by PebbleClan invaders. They did not stop at attacking, they took a life. The life of an apprentice no less. Sparrowpaw," she yowled, leaving a moment of silence for the words to sink in. "What do you think, my warriors? Should we let them get away with it? Should we try to smooth things out with a Clan who so recently killed a WoodClan warrior in a sign that they intended to take their land, or should we strike back? Teach them that FireClan is not some feeble Clan just because we would rather not be at war?" she continued, her voice demanding, her stature as leader showing for the first time in moons.

Dawnlight's eyes sparkled at the thought of revenge. He for one would hate to see PebbleClan get away with it. He stood up, his tail erect, his muscular body tense with excitement, the pain from his wounds gone.

"I say we strike back! I say an eye for an eye and a paw for a paw! It is savagery they want? Then savagery is what they get!" he snarled, his growl rumbling throughout the entire clearing as he made his thoughts known, and he looked around, blue eyes almost daring anyone to contradict him.

Midnightpaw yowled in agreement, as well as other cats, with Dawnlight. Her eyes showed a fierce looking, turning into slits. I'm glad he's in the clan. She thought about Dawnlight

Duskwind stayed quiet while her clanmates yelled their approval, though she silently agreed with the warrior. Her apprentice did not deserve to die, and she wanted to make PebbleClan pay.

Whisperpaw's fur stood on end and she yowled in agreement. She didn't always get along with Dawnlight, but no one messed with FireClan and got away with it.

Sharpclaw sat at the back of the crowd and listened to what Kindlestar had to say. Warstorm who was standing beside her had a mix of rage and determination in his eyes.

Kindlestar waited for the yowls to die down, glad to see her Clan united for once, for better or for worse. "Then we will make them pay!" she snarled, her blood boiling along with the other's. "I cannot lead the Clan alone however. I need a deputy. One that knows of wars and tactics. One that has been loyal to the Clan above all else. That is why I choose Duskwind to be my new deputy." She once again remained quiet, waiting for the words to sink in.

Dawnlight looked on in shock. Kindlestar had just substituted the deputy. He couldn't really find a reason to outrage. He liked Duskwind enough, and he knew that she knew FireClan inside out. He turned to look at Duskwind and nodded his congratulations, wondering if the black warrior had any idea that this was coming.

Sharpclaw nodded Duskwind was a good choice but it made her wonder about how her brother felt.

Warstorm looked at Duskwind and nodded a congratulations to her

Duskwind looked shocked. She never expected to be deputy, but she wiped the surprise off her face and stood up. "I accept this honor and I promise that PebbleClan will pay for what they have done." she yowled, making sure everyone could hear her.

Warstorm looked at the new deputy and purred Duskwind can help us win the war

Sharpclaw looked at Duskwind Kindlestar made a good choice

Kindlestar nodded in approval. Duskwind had made a good choice of words, just the kind of thing the Clan wanted and needed to hear. She cleared her throat to continue.

"We cannot enter the war unprepared, and there is one apprentice that needs to be turned into a warrior. Whisperpaw, you have trained well, and it is time you recieve your warrior name. I only wish that you could be honored with a more peaceful time.

Your name shall now be Whisperheart, for those times you whispered things to your heart, afraid to be heard. You are now a warrior, use the wisdom passed to you well," she mewed, her tail giving a flick.

"Whisperheart!" Dawnlight called out, glad that they had new warriors to go with to war.

Firesong purred. At least two good things had come out of this...

Lightningpaw soaked in every word being said around him, wondering what he could do to help since he knew he couldn't go to battle. He looked over at Firesong, looking somewhat relieved.

He sighed, not feeling exited about the war as he did before. He wasn't sure why, but maybe some training could lift his spirits up so.

Warstorm and Sharpclaw chanted Whisperhearts name. Warstorm saw his apprentice ,lightningpaw, I better teach him some fighting moves before the war
