Thrushpaw nodded. So the others really didn't know what was going on..."I'm sure Kindlestar will tell everyone about what happened soon, but...Dawnlight took Sparrowpaw and me on dawn patrol. We were attacked by Pebbleclan. They-" He stifled a sob at this point, "They killed Sparrowpaw. the killing of an apprentice almost always leads to war. I'll bet that by this time tomorrow, we'll be at war with Pebbleclan." He shook his head. What a time to have just become an apprentice. Lightningpaw probably felt completely lost.  

[Blitz Prower]

Lightningpaw felt his pain almost as if it was his own. So much that he almost shedded a tear. He put his tail on Thrushpaw's back, trying to find someway to comfort him through his time. "Well, we'll have to make Pebbleclan pay for what they did. I'm right there beside ya, Thrushpaw. He gave a comforting smile as he finished stating his promise.

Thrushpaw purred, blinking back his tears. It was gratifying to hear someone say that. And shocking to hear it from a kit just apprenticed. He nodded. He looked back to Duskwind and Kindlestar. "I just have to be a part of the counter-attack...I have to..."

"Well, if I had enough training and was old enough, then I would definitely help to protect my clan. But for now, I'll do what I can here." He smiled, feeling full of confidence and glad he was able to make Thrushpaw feel somewhat better. He was glad he could relate to another fellow clan member.

Warstorm followed Sharpclaw happily mouth open for the scent of prey. Sharpclaw smelled the air and quickly hunted down a mouse.

Midnightpaw looked around camp, she wanted to do something besides sit there.

Warstorm smelled the air and caught the scent of a squirrel he spotted it and got ready to pounce he lept on top of it and killed it with a quick plow. "Nice catch," Sharpclaw purred

Kindlestar nodded, knowing her old mentor was right. "I cannot lead the Clan alone," she answered, her yellow eyes piercing Duskwind's angry look. "Not to battle... there are some wounded, and others unfit to battle," she added, thinking about the new apprentices. "If we are to attack, we must think this out carefully."

"The new apprentices cannot go since they have had no training." Duskwind said glancing towards the three new apprentices.

Smilepaw sighed. "If you want to talk about it there are many cats who will listen." He left her alone with her thoughts and wandered around aimlessly.  

[Blitz Prower]

Lightningpaw left Thrushpaw's side, starting to pad around camp. He wasn't sure what he needed to do. Since he hadn't started training, there was no way he could fight if there was going to be a war.

He decided to talk whatever this was out with Midnightpaw. He padded over to Midnightpaw, since he hadn't talked to her since their "arguement" before. All he managed to say was, "Hey...Midnightpaw."

Kindlestar flicked her tail, knowing that Duskwind was right. The last time an apprentice that was inexperienced had been taken to war, the consequences had been severe.

((Should I make an announcement on FireClan attacking PebbleClan? I don't think enough people are active for it to matter. sweatdrop ))

((Sorry I haven't been posting. I had a kind of busy schedule. I might be able to post more often now. I just couldn't keep up. Maybe I can now sweatdrop ))

Sharpclaw and Warstorm entered the camp after hunting for awhile and placed the fresh kill they caught on the pile. Warstorm say bye to Sharpclaw then walked around camp to find out if his apprentice, Lightningpaw, wanted to get some training in today
