[Blitz Prower]

Lightningpaw sighed, looking only to notice Smilepaw and Midnightpaw talking. Should I go over there? ...Well, I guess so. He padded over to where they were chatting. He put a fake smile on his face, wanting to look alright.

"Hey, Smilepaw." He said, trying to sound a little cheerful.  

[NitroScorpio]

Duskwind scoffed, "Pebbleclan are known for their senseless attacks." Her eyes flashed with anger and hate.

"Must've been something pretty-" Smilepaw started but stopped abruptly as he heard Lightningpaw's greeting. He was smiling but Smilepaw could tell it was fake. "Hey, Lightningpaw." Smilepaw mewed while shifting uncomfortably, feeling the tension in the air.  

[Blitz Prower]

Lightningpaw let the fake smile go. He sighed and glanced at Midnightpaw for a quick second, then going back to Smilepaw. "Alright, I know you know already."

Midnightpaw sighed, she didn't bother saying anything about it. She managed to give a simple, "Hi"

Smilepaw let out a groan and turned around and looked both of them square in the eye. "I can't take not knowing. What could've possibly have happened when you went on a simple errand?!"  

[Nights of Nyx]

Midnightpaw looked at Smilepaw, "I don't care."  

[Blitz Prower]

"Ugh...this exactly what it is, Smilepaw. Midnightpaw doesn't care for anything, anything but herself!" He swished his tail violently a couple of times, and glared at Midnightpaw.

"When will you start caring, instead of just isolating yourself from everyone else?!"  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Kindlestar's ears flattened as she heard the anger in Duskwind's voice. She sighed. Unlike Shadowstar, Kindlestar had always wanted to believe that Cursedstar had a reason grander than greed to attack other Clans senselessly. She had obviously been mistaken.

"What do you suggest? Launching a retaliating hit on PebbleClan?" she asked, no mockery in her voice.  

[NitroScorpio]

Duskwind looked up at Kindlestar. "Well we obviously can't let them get away with what they've done. And we can't discuss it with them during the Gathering since FireClan are the only ones who care enough to go....So that leaves an attack." she said keeping the fury out of her voice.


"Well that didn't sound selfish, more like avoiding the question." Smilepaw said, trying to figure out what happened. "And Lightningpaw, how do you know she doesn't care?"
 

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Kindlestar nodded, knowing her old mentor was right. "I cannot lead the Clan alone," she answered, her yellow eyes piercing Duskwind's angry look. "Not to battle... there are some wounded, and others unfit to battle," she added, thinking about the new apprentices. "If we are to attack, we must think this out carefully."

Firesong headed over towards the group to pay her respects to Sparrowpaw. She heard Duskwind and Kindlestar talking and sighed. She hated it every time the clan had to fight. She'd tried to reason with Cursedstar last time, but to no avail. How many lives would be lost this time?

Thrushpaw turned, hearing a conversation near him. Hearing the two talking about retaliation made his heart leap. He had to help! He had to be a part of it! He began listening carefully. He didn't want to but in, but he had to make sure he'd be involved. He was easily the oldest apprentice now...his heart fell when he realized that.  

[Blitz Prower]

Lightningpaw sighed, not wanting to get in the subject. "Nevermind..." He replied in a bored and tired tone. He looked around to notice Thrushpaw on the other side of camp.

Hm...Is he the oldest of the apprentices? Speaking of which, Warstorm still hasn't began training with me yet today like he said he would...but I guess that just gives me a little more time to relax. He walked over to Thrushpaw, noddeding his head as a small greeting.

"Hey there, Thrushpaw." He managed to say that, a little nervously, but making sure not to show it.

Midnightpaw sighed, she knew it was a waste of her time. She unsheathed her claws and waited for something to do.

Thrushpaw heard Lightningpaw and nodded in greeting. "Hello, Lightningpaw...um, how was your first day as an apprentice?" He wasn't quite sure what to say. He wasn't mad about the little ones not grieving like he did. They barely knew Sparrowpaw, and were probably still a little unsure as to what was really going on.  

[Blitz Prower]

"It was fine, though I wasn't able to start training with Warstorm like he said he would today. But, if you don't mind, can you fill me in on what's going on? I sensed the smell of blood earlier, but I'm still unsure of what's happening."

He tried to kept his gaze off of Thrushpaw, since he didn't want him to feel nervous. He continued looking around camp, hoping Thrushpaw could give him some answers. Also, he wasn't sure of what else to talk about.
