There is a huge discrepancy between how my little brother is treated by my folks and how I am treated by my folks.

A good example of this is how my mother has said she couldn't possibly contribute more than a fruit tray to my party (she's not doing anything for my birthday at all) because she has already spent so much money on my brother's grad party.

This only makes sense when you understand that my mother values an individual by how much money they have and shows how much she loves you by spending money on you.

My friend Carolee (from Rusty's for those of you in the know) has just rescued my party. She's going to provide decorations, let me hold the party at her home and she'll be having a bonfire and food too.

I'm not an overly emotional person, but I was speechless. (Me... Speechless... )

Carolee is beyond wonderful. heart

I'm sorry about your mother, that's pretty awful. I don't understand how and why parents prioritize and treat their children the way they do, and then have the gall to expect nothing but unconditional love in return, no matter how poorly said offspring is treated. I wouldn't have it in me to be civil with the woman, personally. Kudos to you for keeping a relatively level head.

My mom's a special kind of broken. I'm not sure she'll attend the party now.

At Fanime, they discussed the MMO as part of the Gaia Online panel and, at least within the context of that meeting, it seemed like they dropped the "g" word, but now, for the life of me, I cannot recall how he was described o.O

Traveling merchant?

The website hasn't been changed, but, well, Gaia Towns still has a blond Ian >_>
