I was just wondering what is a good way to get noticed? I joined the other day, and have posted on other people's art and asked mentors if I could fill their empty slots, but I have heard nothing from anyone. -is a lonely child- mew?

And on a random note - who here loves the old Disney cartoons, like Bambi, the Lion King, and Mulan?

@ Raeyu - Mulan &Lion King is old now??? I remember seeing them in theater... ahhhhh!

Love disney though, especially during their 'Renaissance' period in the 80's and early 90's. I hope their comeback pulls through.

Last year I re-started my education and started art school... almost everyone in my grade was born in the 90's. >o< I have bonded with all the older students hehe.

yea? thats cool i have a hard time bonding with most of the younger students too. i'm earning my 2nd BA btw

haha yeah. A lot of the students do things that I remember doing when I was just out of high school... sometimes I want to tell them something like 'dont do that!' but they aren't going to listen to me and maybe it's better if they find out themselves razz

Why are you getting a second BA? Honors?

oh haha i got a my BS in physical therapy as a compromise with my parents. but i kept up with my drawing and after i got into 3-d animation i said screw it i'm doing this for the rest of my life so i'm back in school earning my BA on 3-d animation

I had all summer to do artwork and I barely lifted a pencil, but now that it's time to study and read textbooks all I want to do is doodle in my sketch book. I'm thinking that I will do what my friend did and just use a sketch book to write notes in so that I can draw around them. wink

Just joined the guild, and I'm hoping to get a little help with a problem I'm having. I simply can't get myself to draw. I'm not stuck for artistic muse, I'v just lost my wish to keep trying. As soon as I put pen to paper, I find myself asking why bother? All I'll do is spend hous on hours trying to draw something that wont come out right, and I'll just throw it in the bin. I could use my time doing something much more rewarding like reading a book, going for a run, or writting. All of which are activities which wont end in my becoming flustered and annoyed. So, anyone got an antidote to it?

i suffer from a simular problem
i was told its coz my life lacks balance and that ill get my drive back once i fill my physical activity side of the scales or somehting like that
