Well, I really hated him when they came across that nursery and he gleefully explained to his new colleague and the camera man that the popping sound was an unborn alien dying.

But other than that, the documentary style interviews, the scheming Nigerians and the Afrikaans speaking mercenaries really are done perfectly.

I agree with the dislike of Wikus. He's a pretty miserable s**t through the whole deal. That said, he's a -good- miserable s**t. I loved Koobus.

As a side note, I'm working with some folks to start developing a ruleset for a District 9 tabletop wargame.

Alice in Wonderland was pretty good. Very much a solid continuation on an old story. The ending was absolute s**t.

I loved the Bandersnatch.

An to me, that's what sold me the movie.

He's just an average guy trying to get by. There's nothing that's inherintly good in him. (Apart from the end I guess.)

Agreed. That was just another part in what made the movie more believable.

Anyone seen the "Hurt locker"? Was surprised it pwned "Avatar" in Oscars, is it that good?

I've seen how they vote, it's a load of s**t. Not one award for District 9. Not one.

it's a foreign movie, for US critics it's hard to notice anything not from Hollywood...

I was shocked and somewhat offended that it didn't win anything.

EDIT: That said, I was super pleased that Christopher Waltz won Best Supporting Actor.

The best bit about those interviews is that the actors state that it's something for the fans. By Dan Abnett. Voiced by professional actors who have quite a few awards.

I'm excited. surprised

best evil voice ever goes to the unforgettable voice of Darth Vader, James Earl Jones! He could be good for Chaos Space Marine too, btw.
