[Nights of Nyx]

"It is indeed." Midnightpaw answered. "And something with the dawn patrol, and Pebbleclan." She said it like she would say anything else.  

[Blitz Prower]

"Very well..." He replied, somewhat hesitantly. He wasn't exactly afraid of blood, he just didn't like the smell. He looked at Midnightpaw and then at his paws. "Well, hopefully we'll start training after this."  

[Nights of Nyx]

"I hope you get something better than me, I have to learn how to clean out the bedding." Midnightpaw told him.  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Kindlestar nodded at Firesong then took a look at Dawnlight. "You two go to Firesong. We don't need to lose you two as well."

Dawnlight nodded and sighed, his embarrasment returning. "Let's go," he growled at Thrushpaw, and noticed out of the corner of his eye that Kindlestar had taken over the body of the dead apprentice, and was carrying him over to the center of the field.

Firesong led the two to her den, and began rummaging around for the herbs she needed. "Clean those injuries for me, okay?"

She was definitely going to have to go collect some soon. She wondered idly if she'd get an apprentice anytime soon. She crushed the right mixture and began to place it on Dawnlight's wounds. She wanted to ask if he was okay, but was sure he'd be insulted.
"There. That mixture will help fight infection." She did the same for Thrushpaw.
"And try not to irritate Kindlestar, you two. She's going to be on edge for awhile."




Thrushpaw had began to clean when Firesong told him to, and nodded meekly when she gave him the advice.

Dawnlight nodded as well, his ears swiveled backwards. "I had never seen her so angry... What do you recon she'll do? Charge at PebbleClan now? They'll be waiting for us if I know the sniveling cowards," he snarled.

If there was one thing Dawnlight excelled at was battle tactics. He knew that PebbleClan was not stupid, and despite him wanting to go and kill them all himself, he wondered if it was such a good idea.

Kindlestar had dragged the apprentice to the center of the camp. Most of this family had died already, and she knew that Thrushpaw was now the only one left. Seems like Thrushpaw and Dawnlight have something in common now... she thought, her ears still flat and her eyes still flaming.

She turned around and saw Lightningpaw and Midnightpaw chatting in the corner, looking as though if this was just another morning. Her lip curled and she looked at Warstorm.

"Warstorm. Take these two out to collect bedding. See if they can do more than just flap their lips," she snarled, then headed towards the medicine cat den, her tail giving a violent swish.

Warstorm nodded to Kindlestar then walked over to the two apprentices "Come on Kindlestar told me to take you two out of camp to find bedding," Warstorm said then walked out of camp and waited for the apprentices to follow.

Sharpclaw popped her head into the medicine cats den "Do you need help Firesong?"Sharpclaw asked.

Midnightpaw sighed, "This day just gets better and better." She said in a bored tone  

[Blitz Prower]

Lightningpaw glanced at Midnightpaw and then back at his mentor. "Ok..." He said, feeling uneasy.

Firesong finished treating Thrushpaw as Sharpclaw came in. "Oh, hello, Sharpclaw. Well...I could use an extra paw or two to help gather herbs...I have a feeling we're going to need them." She quickly took note of what she needed. "Okay, yout two make sure not to get in Kindlestar's way. She's liable to tear you a new hind end right now...And you may want to visit Sparrowpaw, Thrushpaw."


Thrushpaw nodded. He'd already been planning to sit the vigil for him tonight. He headed out of the den, moving out of the doorway so the others could leave.

Midnightpaw sighed, "Are we gonna go or what?" She questioned  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Kindlestar entered the medicine cat den as Thrushpaw was passing through, his body hunched in a sorrowed way. Her ears flattened as she saw the apprentice heading towards the body of its littermate and she sighed. If only the other two showed some sort of sense in wanting to help out or caring... It is no wonder Lightningpaw hangs around my apprentice. Both only care for themselves.

Her thoughts were full of anger, but even in a better mood Kindlestar was sure she would have ripped the ears out of her apprentice at the vile disrispect towards her denmate. Even a kit would have behaved better.

She shook her head and went inside, almost toppling Dawnlight. She glared up at the male warrior and saw that Sharpclaw was inside. She had overheard Firesong say something about herbs, and she glared from both warriors to the medicine cat.

"If you are thinking of going out to gather herbs, take Sharpclaw. I myself will accompany you as well. Dawnlight, I want you to rest for today. I know you are strong, but we don't need you straining yourself," she said in a monotone voice, although her eyes still gleamed with hatred.

Dawnlight gulped and bowed. "Yes, Kindlestar," he meowed, his voice losing its normal snarl as he padded his way out of the medicine cat den, thinking that Firesong's advice was probably the best he had ever been given.

As the three of them were heading out of camp, Midnightpaw was at the end of the entrance. She turned her head back to look at Kindlestar, a look that wasn't suppose to be in her eyes glared at her leader. A smile was upon her face as she followed the other two cats.

Firesong nodded. Kindlestar probably wanted to talk to her, but she'd still have to carry herbs back. "Thanks. Let's start out by the Fire Pond. Many of the herbs I use grow there." She led the way out of the den. Firesong wasn't unfazed by Kindlestar's mood. She'd just learned to handle it. She'd been a mediciine cat through three clan leaders, and she learned when to fear a cat's temper. Kindlestar gave Firesong no reason to be afraid. Though she did pity Pebbleclan a little at the moment.  

[Blitz Prower]

Lightningpaw only felt hurt, and sad for some reason he wasn't even sure of. He looked down at his paws as he was walking with Midnightpaw and Warstorm. Midnightpaw is the only cat I really can relate to... He thought to himself as he walked.

Looking for bedding he was deep in thought. Maybe I should try talking to others in the clan, since I feel like I'm around Midnightpaw maybe too much...
