I never said anything about being forced to do anything.

I don't really believe that it's necessary for women to have all those things that most of them do.

I mean all the perfume, clothing, makup and what not. I just don't think it's needed. I'm not saying that every chickie has all that, but most do.

As such, I think that spending money on all that for chickies is a waste. I also don't like the "showering with gifts" notion. It's alright to get a gift for a birthday, some holiday or an anniversary, but just random "I'll buy you because you're worth it" sounds kind of a "your woman is a metrial whore" type of thing.

Ray Summers: George, there are 5 reasons why men are scum and women let us get away with it.
1. We all only want one thing. No exceptions.
2. We fall in love before we get that one thing, and fall out of love after we get it. Conversely, women fall in love after.
3. We will lie, cheat, steal or murder to get that one thing. Why am I sugarcoating this, you're a big girl. To sleep with you.
4. We freely admit 1 through 3 and women don't care,
and the number 5 reason why men are scum and women don't care: You can't live without us.

Girlfriend: An opal ring.
Xander: Done.

Yes, there is less surprise. But I make up for it with random little gifts, like a CD she wanted, or a Nightcrawler action figure. To buy gift for people, I follow Rule #2: Cheat.

Lol you sound a lot like my Boyfriend. I just had a Birthday recently and of course he's the only one that got me something besides money, which was the new Evanescence cd, which I love to pieces. But sometimes he'll be like, "Oh, you don't have enough money to buy that?? I'll just get it for you if that's what you really want." and I'm like "Ummm, no? You barely have enough money to buy stuff that you want!! I'll feel really guilty if you bought that for me."

Then like the next holiday or something like that, he pops out a gift and it'll be that same thing that I wanted before. Gifts like that are super nice! cool
