"A little...but I'm still confident and I know our moms are watching us, so I'm gonna make my mom proud!" He said more confidently. He finished grooming himself, and looked more cleaner and presentable, feeling proud and ready.

Midnightkit nodded and finished grooming her fur. Her fur now looked sleeked black, shining in the moonlight. She looked not of the kit that entered the camp not so long ago.

Dawnlight looked at Thrushpaw as he heard his question.

"She left when the prey was poor. She abandoned us during our time of need when green cough plagued the Clan. And now she comes back, sniveling for food. I don't care what Kindlestar says, she is still a traitor in my eyes," he snarled, then padded away, his ears flattened. He stopped however when he saw Kindlestar jumping on top of the Fire Rock.

"May all the cats old enough to catch their own prey join me here for a Clan meeting!" she yowled, her eyes glinting in Dawnlight's direction as she called.

She had an inward sigh. I guess some of the cats will have a problem with Sharpclaw coming back... I just hope that the ruckus Dawnlight just made doesn't affect the minds of the young ones... He has made an impression on them... she thought as she looked down at the warrior who was easily the largest cat in the entire Clan.

Thrushpaw's ears perked up, hearing the summons. As he walked to the rock, the mulled what Dawnlight said over in his mind. Something didn't fit. He thought about it. Hadn't Firesong and Kindlestar both tried to stop her from leaving? He was sure he heard that. Then, both cats welcomed her back so easily. It didn't sound like the acts of a traitor. Besides, something else didn't fit. He turned to Dawnlight. "If she left us when prey was scare, then she would have found another food source. Why would a deserter just walk away from a food source that supplies even in leafbare? Why would she come back knowing that prey will be scare again next time?"

Midnightkit jumped at the sudden call of the leader. Quick as the wind that blows through the night, she was under Fire Rock. She waited for the others to meet her.

Dawnlight sniffed. "She obviously didn't fare well. She looks weak enough. As for why did Kindlestar and Firesong welcome her back? Kindlestar is a softy. I heard that before the war were all the Clans except us pitted against PebbleClan, Kindlestar gave her land in mercy. Land that we could use in leaf bare. She did this the moment she turned leader... of course, those are rumors...." he muttered, not entirely sure if it was real or not.

Thrushpaw looked at Sharpclaw, then back to Dawnlight. "What rumors?" He noticed that Dawnlight said nothing about Firesong. Does he...respect her?

With his fur looking sleek and shiny like the sun, he heard the call and as quick like lightning he was under Fire Rock beside Midnightkit. He looked upward at Kindlestar, just waiting for his name to be called, and to not be a kit anymore.

Well, out of the nursery...and into the apprentices den. He thought to himself, looking at his strange white paws.

"Ok ok I'm clean now can we go?" Smilekit mewed his black and white fur shining in the moonlight.

Duskwind looked him over and gave him on last lick on the head. "Ok, but don't mess up your fur!" Duskwind said as Smilekit bounded towards the Fire Rock.

Midnightkit licked her paw once as Smilekit came bounding over to them. "Last one here is crow food." She teased

"Well, it looks like Smilekit is it." He said teasingly and laughing a little afterward. He looked at his paws again, as Smilekit came over to them.  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Dawlight parted his lips to answer, but was distracted by Kindlestar beginning her speech.

"Today we have many a news. First, I would like to announce the return of Sharpclaw. I am not putting her return up for debate. Sharpclaw has been a warrior of FireClan for many moons before leaving us, and no treason was done during her time gone. She will be nursed back to strength, and she will be serving her Clan again.

I understand it would be unfair to ask you all to forgive her, as I know she left in difficult times, and some might see that as treason enough. Sharpclaw, I trust you will earn back that trust, both of your fellow clanmates and mine," she mewed, looking down at the scarred warrior.  

[NitroScorpio]

"You are just jealous because I'm shiny!" Smilekit chortled as he sat next to them showing off his gleaming fur.

Duskwind sat down behind Smilekit. Listening intently to what Kindlestar was saying about Sharpclaw. Duskwind felt no ill-will towards Sharpclaw, she understood that she thought that she was protecting her clan by doing so.

Thrushpaw sighed inwardly. It looked like the big scoop was going to have to wait. He looked at Sharpclaw, wondering about all this mess.


Firesong turned to the Fire Rock, taking a seat near Sharpclaw. She wanted to make sure the warrior knew that she had friends, no matter what an overprotective youngling might say. She thought of Dawnlight, and worried. She hoped no bad blood would be in the air.

Midnightkit looked at him, a glint of mischief in her eyes. "Is that so, wait till after the ceremony, and we'll see who's so shiny." She bended down for a second, "Oh almighty Smilestar." She teased but then sat back straight when Kindlestar started to talk.
