Hello- I'm new in here, and I'm actually trying to find out if this is the right place for me. I don't do line art- I can't draw to save my life. But I have recently discovered the joys of coloring using photoshop- so I'm trying to find someone who can mentor me in photoshop.....
Is this guild primarily for line artists? Or does it include colorists?

xD I'm new here too, and I have a question to put to those with more experience than I....

A year ago, I had a charity auction for a friend raising money to buy a d-tail. I had a tier system (if your bid is ___ then you get 3 headshots) and had an autobuy that I thought was completely unrealistic, since I did not think very much of my art. 20 pictures, 100k. Well low and behold, a very nice and (ehehe, patient) person AB my auction, but then offered 200k for 40 pictures.

40 images.... I'm not even half way done. Should I PM her and work out a deal for what I've already done? Or should I trudge along?

The idea of having SO many images to draw is more than daunting. I realize it was partially my mistake for accepting the terms, but it was my first auction, and the first time I was putting my art out there to be bought without hiding with my friend and selling along side her. I was simply blinded by the offer, a mistake I will not make again.

I say DO IT!!!! If somebody thinks so much of your work then deliver! You'll get alot of practice and boost your confidence about your art every time you make sumthing thats awesome... You're art is likely to aproove too. I'd go for it. If it gets overwhelming then take a break then get right back on it. That's just my advice but hey hope it helps! mrgreen

I'm trying to decide what to draw... I've got sum projects i gotta do for friends but i need sumthing for me to draw for... well, me. and i want it to be elegant and serene... I was thinkin maybe a tiger but it doesn't quite do it for me... Any suggestions???

Well if u want elegant and serene try a light colored dragon, jappaness stile with no wings and something like clouds with an even lighter color of whatever u pick for thr dragon for a kinda light around them. And really try thr dragon in a elegent sence insted of the usual strong.

@rose: holy crap that's a lot of images @w@... lol yes I know this message is really late xD... but still... well if you haven't done anything about it... I'd say think about it real hard and consider re-negotiating the terms of the auction if you don't feel up to finishing the rest of those images =w=;; I know that that amount is something I'd never be able to do unless they're sketches @w@;;
