Thrushpaw smiled. That's progress...I think he's starting to lighten up! "All right!" he said, following the older cat. Soon, they arrived near the border with twoleg territory. Thrushpaw kept an ear out for twolegs, but they didn't seem to like the cold, unless it was snowing. For some reason, the crazy mouse-brains like the frozen water. "I think we should look for where it's warmest..."

"So then we look for melted snow," Dawnlight stated simply, flicking his tail and scanning the area, hoping to see a snowless area soon, his own paws hating the cold.

Warstorm stood up and said bye to waterflower then he went to hunt and think for awhile.

Sharpclaw sat in the woods listening for anything when she heard a loud growl behind her she turned and came face to face with a giant badger

Thrushpaw's eyes scanned the twoleg nest, noticing a definite water drip coming from a strange box on the side of the den. He walked up cautiously, feeling a warm wind coming from the object. It felt nice, and he shook his head to remind himself he couldn't take a nap there. He heard the telltale shufflings of a small animal...squirrel, if he wasn't mistaken. He listened hard, and slunk forward. "Do you hear that?" he mouthed to dawnlight.

Dawnlight nodded, his ears flattened. He signaled with his tail to go left as he stalked down. Squirrels were not his choice of food and he did not have much experience hunting them, but under the circumstances, being picky was not an option.

Thrushpaw nodded, going left. He slunk close to a strange twoleg object, one that looked like part of the monsters that carried the twolegs around. He crept forward, hearing the sounds coming from inside the strange object.

Dawnlight crept closer to the loud creature and spotted the squirrel nearby, his ears perking up as he prepared to strike.

Suddenly, the wind shifted. Their quarry stood up, sniffing nervously. It turned, bolting towards the cover of the twoleg object. Thrushpaw shot forward, unwilling to let the prey escape. He snapped the creatures' neck sharply; it was a clean kill. His ears perked back up. He was still hearing the scuffling...were their more squirrels here?

(lets see. . . last time i remember posting meh little one's were trying to sneak a peak at the ceremony. . .)
Emptykit and Badgerkit lounged in the back of the clearing. "It feels like we'll be a kit forever huh?" Badgerkit sighed flipping his belly towards the sky. "No way! I would rather die then stay lower ranked then that bird-brain!" Emptykit huffed leaping onto Badgerkit.

Dawnlight nodded in approval of Thrushpaw's kill and sniffed the air. The twoleg object was making to much noise and the stench did not let him sniff out any more of the squirrels. However, he could hear a scuffling nearby.

Badgerkit grunted under Emptykit's weight. "Ok ok i take it back! You'll become a great leader in no time at all!"
Emptykit nodded satisfied rolling off Badgerkit. "And I've decided you'll become my great deputy!"
Badgerkit rolled his eyes "ok ok, whatever you want"

A orange eyed warrior crouched near the fresh-kill pile. His muscles ripped in tension as he stood up, two skinny voles hanged from his mouth. Solidheart flicked his ears in the direction of two kits playing in the back of the clearing. His eyes narrowed in annoyance. "Hmph" he grunted quietly turning towards the medicine cat den.
