Dawnlight flattened his ears and snarled. "Do you know the risk that would take? The danger we will be put in?" he growled. Suddenly, his eyes sparkled. "I like it."

Kindlestar sighed and nodded. "Thorngaze has been gone for an awfully long time, hasn't he?" she asked, getting up into a sitting position.

Firesong nodded. "And I have no clue where to start looking for him, even if I could find the time... Anyway, I collected a decent amount of catmint, so we should be okay for awhile. I just wish I knew what Starclan was trying to tell us..."


Thrushpaw smiled. "I thought you might. Do you think we should go alone?"

Kindlestar sighed. "I think we may have to start considering that maybe Thorngaze has left FireClan..." she mewed, looking up at Firesong. "As for what is StarClan trying to tell us... I am afraid that only time will tell," she added, coughing a little at the last words.

"Yes. Going alone would give us the oportunity to scan the area and see how dangerous this would be," he growled, nodding at Thrushpaw.

Firesong sighed. "Yeah, I know..." She had to go check on everyone. Walking towards the nursery, she stuck her head inside. "How are you doing, kits?"


Thrushpaw nodded, heading to the camp entrance. He slipped out with ease, pawing the ground to warm up his frozen paws. "Okay, so which way should we go?"

Kindlestar watched Firesong leave and she yawned a little then rested her head on her paws, trying to get some rest. She knew that the sooner she got better, the sooner she would be able to help her Clan, and the thought reassured her and made her feel less useless.

Dawnlight pointed with his muzzle. "This way. Now... have you ever been to Twolegplace before?" he asked, looking down at his apprentice as he led the way.

Dawnlight stopped and did something strange for cats but even stranger for him. He laughed a deep laugh and shook his head. "That is the first time that I have heard it being put that way. But yes, you run, like if an entire pack of adders where after you," he nodded, still laughing at the thought.
