Thrushpaw looked around. I can't bury it just anywhere, or I won't be able to find it either... He decided on the base of the tree behind him. It was slightly smaller than the ones around it, making it different. Thrushpaw buried the vole happily. Looking back at Dawnlight, he said, "Do you think the other prey's been scared from here by all our noise?"


Firesong almost cried. "Hey, Kindlestar, it's me!" She didn't have all the herbs needed, but she chewed up a little catmint and gave it to the leader anyway. "C'mon, get up. We need to get you back to camp."

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Dawnlight sniffed the air, then looked at the two cats that were with him. "I suppose they have gone. Either that or there was no other prey to begin with. Prey is scarce in leaf bare..."

Kindlestar grunted and lifted her head, seeing a blurry outline of a cat.

"Firesong?" she asked her. She realized in her stupor that she was on the ground, and her fur was getting wet with the snow, so she started getting up, her paws wobbling a little, but supporting her out of force of will.

Tigerkit hissed "WILL YOU TWO STOP FIGHTING! You are brother and sister! And if you ask me you both have the brain of a fox!"

Both Badgerkit and Emptykit turned on Tigerkit. "STAY OUT OF IT!" They snarled at the same time. Emptykit turned back to Badgerkit, rage glittered in her eyes. "I was just trying to have some fun! Why do you always do this!?!" Emptykit's voice went a little horse at the end. "Gah! I'm going ahead!" Emptykit turned and stormed off. They weren't that far from the entrance anyway. "Fine!" Badgerkit called after her. "Fine!" Emptykits voiced echoed back.

Midnight heard voices and she lefted her head

Tigerkit looked down "Please it hurts me to see you two fight" tears started in her eyes

Badgerkit glanced over at Tigerkit then jumped back. "w-why are YOU crying!? I'm the one who should be crying!" Badgerkit felt the fur on the back of his neck stand up nervously.
Emptykit crashed blindly through the entrance. She stormed over to the nursery and charged in. "Mother!" She started to whine. Morningwind wasn't there. "Mom?" Emptykit looked around confused.

"I don't like you fighting with her" tigerkit meowed

"I'm hungry," Creamtail whined. "And if there's no prey, then I'll starve. And I really don't want that."  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Dawnlight looked at Creamtail and licked her ear.

"Well then, we should get you to do some hunting no?" he sneered, his tail flicking with contempt.  

[signelchan]

"I don't know... I mean, the last time I tried to hunt, I ended up not doing much of anything," Creamtail said.  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Dawnlight flicked his ear.

"Well, you never had me to teach you. I can help you know? Fighting may be all I am good for, but at least I do it right, even when hunting," he growled.

Midnight sighed. She looked at the stars again

Firesong stood by Kindlestar's side, letting the leader lean on her. She scooped up the rest of the catmint, ready to get home.
